When I try to start editing in EggVine, it says "Component ‘COMDLG32.OCX’ or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." I did a Google search for this problem and found that there was actualy a forum right here in SMW Central that dealt with it, so I went there. Well, when I clicked on the link to install the repair for the missing file, all I got was a page full of garbled symbols, without even a button to click on! I would really like some help on this; I even tried to start a new forum about it somewhere else, and I can't find it. (My computer has Windows Vista, if it helps.)
Also, when I try to insert ExGFX into my copy of Lunar Magic, nothing happens. In fact, my ExGFX folder is empty, so there isn't even anything to extract. Do I have to download other ROMs (such as Super Mario Bros. 3) to get some extra graphics? This isn't quite as important a problem as the EggVine one, but I would appreciate a reply.

For the ExGFX, if the folder is empty, then how is anything going to be inserted? You don't need ROMS for other games unless you are going to rip graphics. You just need to put ExGFX"xx" (xx=number/letters a-f, and without quotation marks) into the ExGraphics folder. The map16 page belongs in the same directory as the ROM.
Well, you have to put the ExGFX file into the ExGraphics folder (Example: ExGFX172) and the map 16 page (looks like Map16Page or Map16PageG) has to be put into the same folder your ROM is in. Then go to LM, click the Red poison mushroom and set the ExGFX (If it's foreground it's MOST likely going tp be FG3) to the same number you put in the ExGFX file (My example was 172) . If it's background you set the BG1 to the number of the ExGFX file (again, my example was 172). Then go to the Map 16 editor and go to a blank page (for foreground, it'd be pages 3-F.) For BG it'd be pages 12-1F. Go to the page and press f3 to load the ExGFX. If it's not the right color, most ExGFX comes with a palette to use, so import that by File->Palettes->Import level palette from file. for BG ExGFX you'll have to set the bg Map 16 page to the page you used (example: say you used page 13. You would set the BG Map 16 page to 13 by Level->Change BG Map 16 Page. You might have to arrange the BG yourself, like a puzzle, but sometimes ExGFX comes with a level with an already arranged BG you can use. Oh wait, I forgot to say, before testing the ROM, make sure to save M16 data by pressing f9.
I don't know what you need a patch for, unless it's EggVine, which I can't help you there. I'm not a Yoshi's Island hacker.
And for the cube, go on wikipedia and type in "tesseract". You can save it as a .gif
