Flutter Jump Advance: A browser-based editor for Yoshi's Island's GBA port.

My first ever jump into any sort of ROM hacking, and I decided to do it for my favorite game.

Current features:
- All levels loading
- (~60%) graphics displayed, but all of 1-1
- Moving objects
- Deleting objects
- Exporting altered ROM file

Todo features:
- All objects loading (many are generated manually)
- Adding objects
- Changing level headers
- Changing palettes

The most important part of this though, is that it is in the web browser, so no downloads or installs required. You just upload the file, and then download it once changed. It's currently going through a graphical upheaval to make it faster, as its painfully slow, so I don't have a recent copy to show, but today marks the 1 year anniversary of ACTUALLY starting it, so I just have to show something. It's actually been something I've been working on and off on for years, but now I've actually got the drive and knowledge to finish it.

This requires a mouse, as in this version navigation is done solely with the mouse wheel. Use the mouse wheel to scroll up and down, hold shift while scrolling to scroll left and right.
You'll start at the top right, but the minimap should help orient you. You can click and drag and delete, but the object adding and exporting is disabled since they don't work properly yet.

The GUI is currently going through a MASSIVE overhaul, including new navigation methods and zooming, as well as just plain being faster.

I don't think I've ever seen a complex tool like this that's entirely browser-based. I feel like there are a lot of potential usability issues there.

Will this have mobile support?

Web browsers have gotten surprisingly robust for web apps lately, so most interactivity won't be an issue. However, performance is a big usability limit that I need to tackle due to web browsers lacking many easy low-level graphics implementations. I have managed to reduce full level loading time from 500ms to 80ms literally just now though.

It probably won't have mobile support, at least soon. That's on the "maybe" board.

There's one for Super Mario Advance 4, Super Mario Bros 3. Perhaps that inspired this one to be browser-based?

Looks good so far, it's nice to see interest in hacking the GBA version has grown recently.Free counters!

Huh! I stand corrected.

Now that I think about it, there was an online SMW2 editor someone was working on a while back. I don't think that one made it very far into development, though.

Export's working
