Welcome, ghouls and ghoulettes. It is time for the contest you have all been waiting for - the Design-the-Scariest-and-possibly-most-unique-Ghost-House. Now, you might notice the rules in this thread are far simpler than my previous contests? Why? Simple. Anything goes with this level. You're allowed you use whatever possible resources you can find to make the scariest level. Want to use some spooky HDMA? Go for it. A really scary song? Go for it. Alter the graphics of the sprites to make them look like severed heads? Go for it. You can make the level be any length, any difficulty, anything you'd like. HOWEVER, as usual, do not include cut-off tiles, or glitches. Make it fun to play, well designed, etc.
The judging will be done in two categories:
1. SCARIEST
Alter the ghost house to instill fear and horror into it's players! We know that there is only so much you can do with SMW, but do it to it's fullest!
This will be judged out of 20. A few sentences will be written about it upon judging.
2. BEST DESIGNED
If you don't want to make the scariest ghost house, make the best designed ghost house. Include zany puzzles, interesting twists, or whatever you'd like.
This will be judged out of 20. A few sentences will be written about it upon judging.
It is possible to win in both categories if you have a scary, well designed ghost house.
The deadline for this contest is October 20. NO . EXCEPTIONS. When you have completed your level, please post the following in this thread:
1. A link to the IPS of your file.
2. The name of your level.
Upon doing that, I will paste it in the section at the bottom of this thread.
