Woah, that's some stellar presentation!

The Rex itself is really cool, too. I wonder what kinds of levels it can canoodle around in, because it feels like it'd have to have big portions made with it in mind, rather than tossing it in wherever.

Looking forward to the rest of this fine set!

I love this flying rex. He has a lot of potential to be a mean enemy. Definetely using him in the future levels I'm making. A question: walls can stop this sprite?

two more items have been added to the portal:

-- new quicksand blocks
-- that one desert tileset I made a while back (for a limited time only unless i change my mind)

the quicksand blocks aren't super special, but they have a few features that past iterations lacked:
1. they don't instantly kill the player's speed; they slow you down very quickly. this means you can technically maintain your speed if you hop out of it fast enough.
2. less frustrating to escape
3. they will act as solid/ledges for certain sprites, like Pokeys (matching their SMB2 behavior).

the sprites that it affects and some other stuff can be changed from the ASM file itself (incl. whether or not it's "fast" quicksand).

Getting massive Mirage Saloon Act 2 vibes from this tileset / background. Amazing stuff, Sonikku!!!

I really love this desert tileset. We don't have that many western themed desert tilesets, so it's a very nice change of pace. Also, the better quicksand block is a great addition, as well. Something always felt clunky about the older quicksand blocks, but I never knew what, until you pointed out these issues. Great job with this fun stuff, Sonikku. #smrpg{:3}

today's release is clawgrip from SMB2 -- he's fairly heavily customizable, so if you have a vision to improve the original boss this is a good place to start

Looks like we've finally got an updated version of Clawgrip for 2022 and I can't wait to use this! So far we've got...

...Mouser, Tryclyde, Fryguy, and Wart ported to SMW, and now what's next? Robirdo from the GBA port of SMB2? We'll see why soon.

Seeing the rex flying is very satisfying nice to see them get flight training

LAYOUT FOOTER:
I can see the Flying Rex being used as some sort of distraction for the player, or an annoying enemy if you add two of them. I like the detail of the wing flapping when he's on land.

As Hooded Edge also said, the background has such big vibes from Mirage Saloon from Sonic Mania, and I find it really neat! I also realized that the cactus decoration is an expansion of the SMB2 cacti. I personally love the second screen's palette.

Also, FINALLY WE HAVE BETTER CLAWGRIP ON THE SITE! The one dahnamics coded for the surprise of zero people has some fatal glitches: such as dying if you hit the wall riding a rock or hitting the boss in a specific frame and it spawning a lot of rocks, causing slowdown.
