I'm doing some several stuffs and i thought showing some of them here would be a good idea so yeah

1. MARKINGㆍREMARKED
i started reworking on a hack that i stopped working on at 2020!

※note: images are big for some reason

Marking was a kaizo(?) hack that i started working on 2018. It was a first hack to have Lain as a player character!
I had a lot of fun while making this, but eventually i wanted to do something different.
so i stoped working on it and went to make 'Lain's Nice Walk'.
a standard hack that also has a lain as a main character.

But i didn't wanted my levels to just stay in my folder forever,
so i decided to start reworking on this hack!

while keeping the basic level structure same as before, i'm making some improvements! such as adding midway & retry , tweaking some unfair sections , and most importantly - it's not made for zsnes!
(the original unfinished 'Marking' was made with only zsnes in mind, because that was the only emulator I knew that time)

there's more stuffs i'm planning to add/change too! such as tutorial that tells you how the custom blocks act.

also, you can see some plans / used resources here.
and some level videos

anyway, that was the first thingy! now for the next:

2. Lain's Nice Walk

※note: images are big for some reason

Do you remember the hack i posted at Winter C3?
you can now play some levels i made so far!
( i guess this count as a demo ?? )

Lain's Nice Walk is a Standard hack that features Lain as a main character.
Artistically this hack takes the similar approach as 'Marking ( and MarkingㆍRemarked )'
But does it better.

This hack's levels are based on themes that you can't see in any other hack such as:
- Water labyrinth of vanishing water that depends on your path
- Artificial beach island that's loaded with bullet bills
- Illusion of a non-existing city
and more!

In this Demo/Level Test thingy,
You can play colorful levels with varying difficulties in any order you want!

This demo thingy was released at my discord server before, but it never went outside that so i thought this was a good opportunity to show this to more people.

you can learn more about the hack at this C3 post that i made before!

you can download the BPS here! and for the credits,
you can check the txt file in the ZIP file.

if you encounter any softlock or bug/glitch while playing , please let me know!
so i can
(try)
to fix it :D

3. Lain's Nice Walk Q&A
I'm thinking of doing some sort of Q & A event for this C3.

the main focus of this Q&A event is my hack 'Lain's nice walk'.
but you can also ask about anything else such as MARKRING - REMARKED ,
my character Lain , and more!

I will post when i decided to close this event!

After the event closes, I'll collect your questions and make and post a
reply/answer video on my youtube channel.

To ask a question for the event, please add a special word "?LainQNA" in your reply with the question!
If the reply dosn't have the "?LainQNA" in it, your question can be excluded from the reply/answer video!

And That's All!
and That's all i got for this C3!
Thank you for reading my post and i hope you enjoyed!

?LainQNA When did you start making the character design of the protagonist? How Lain came to life?

Both hack looks very unique, but perhaps you could clarify which genre both are (standard, kaizo, etc), since you didn't mention that. Great job as always, Moka. #smrpg{:3}

Thanks for the advice! i updated my post to have more descriptions aboout both hacks! #smrpg{<3}
?LainQNA how long have you practiced pixel art?

you are a VERY talented artist, all of your tilesets are extremely impressive and overflowing with charm #w{=)}
Moka, you have such an eye for aesthetics, and it shows as always! All your levels are looking as gorgeous as ever, and I even want to extend that to the trailer you made. Probably one of the best trailers I've ever seen, your editing is wonderful! The maze-like level with the scrolling bricks and black passage really stood out to me. Very creative!

Between the trailers and the screenshots, both of these hacks look like lots of fun! I really want to play Lain's Nice Walk. It's so cool to see how much the hack has developed since you first showed it off a couple of days ago, and it's even more exciting to finally get around to playing it!

Seconding what Anorakun said: Great job as always, Moka!

Very nice presentation video and very unique aesthetics in the hack! looks promising! very gg!
Man, that presentation video alone has more production value than like 99% of SMW hacks. That was quite the entertaining watch!
Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!
I remember watching all your videos on the levels you made. It's really freaking nice that now I can finally play them!! Amazing job Moka! #smw{:TUP:}
Beautiful work as usual moka

Damn, nice music choices you used for the trailer, lotta obscure choices too which I always appreciate lol; editing is pretty great as well, I can clearly tell you put a lot of effort into this haha

also your sense of art design is once again extremely nice and unique, although I already said that in last C3 so I'm not going to repeat myself too much here lmao
