1. First major problem is the lag - There is an obscene amount of lag in this game. Sometimes this can be helpful or hurtful depending on the situation, and maybe some sections are built with the lag in mind. Either way it felt like I was lagging almost 40% of the time which was easily one of the worst parts of playing the game. While this isn't something I would reject the hack for on its own, it is a contributing factor.
2. Invisible sprites/ Despawning sprites - Many many times in the game I died in extremely unfair ways to things I couldn't even see. It has been pointed out to me that the "cluster bullet shooter" is very buggy and can screen wrap and kill the player with no warning. Below are some of the many examples.

3. Overworld bug - In starworld collecting the goalpost in "Hakurei DreamLand" doesn't unlock part of the overworld. Previously this exit was unobtainable because of the side exit being enabled, but it has since been fixed.
"Press to Push The memories gate" also doesn't unlock movement to the left, instead mario bugs out going back and forth if you try to move left after beating the level.
4. Kind of a minor one but the exit count is not tracked properly on the title screen as it only goes up to 96 exits, but this game has over 100 exits. Maybe a custom counter should be used.
5. Even though its not a technical issue, the final boss of special world is impossibly hard to beat without savestates. The shooting sprite seems to be on a global timer and the boss' Y starting position seems to differ based on its last position on screen. As the fight goes on the 2 different shooting sprites(which are on different timers) Begin to unsync their shots from eachother which leaves very small windows(if any) to escape. This makes it incredibly hard to come up with any strategy that consistently works well... and thats only for phase 1 out of like 7+ phases(about 10minutes in length). Personally I think this is pushing it too far when it comes to difficulty. Also you only get a mushroom for the very first attempt at the fight, so if you want to even have a chance at trying to learn this fight you have to go farm mushrooms every attempt.
This hack was so close to being one of my favorites but these mistakes unfortunately put it in a bad spot. I hope some more time is taken to look over and polish and fix parts of the hack.
