Hello everyone, it's been a while since I did anything SMW-related. I've been playing a ton of Super Mario World randomizer on the hardest settings recently and one thing that can happen is that water is randomly removed from stages, which can be am interesting challenge. So I figured I'd make a little hack with every SMW water level, except without water.
Some of these levels are impossible to beat without certain power-ups, so I made a system that lets you go to Top Secret Area, chose what power-ups you need (including Yoshi) and save it, so every time you die you respawn with the power-ups you had saved. This also has the retry system for convenience.
It is 100% vanilla apart from retry and powerup saving system, so it has all the SMW weirdness nothing is patched. Some levels were altered to make areas that don't have water unaccessible
So yeah, it's a rather quick and fun little challenge, I hope you enjoy. I wasn't sure if something like this had already been made or not, so I asked around and no one seemed to know of anything like this but I thought it's an obvious thing that needed to exist so here it is
