I took it a step further and made it explode segment by segment. Would've loved to make explosions spawn at the last segment, but that would've been complicated to implement. Of course, you can also make it explode whole with a define. Anyway, have your explosive fun:

It'd be interesting to see a pipe Lakitu variant that, rather than appearing from one pipe over and over, is set to pop out from one of multiple (perhaps even stalking you throughout the level).
Perhaps the sprite itself could be a generator that creates the Lakitu at random, with the extra bits allowing for multiple 'individuals'.
Sounds pretty complicated, though it did give me an alternative idea for a Pipe-Dwelling Lakitu. I'll pass up on this request.

1) A Lakitu disassembly/customizable version. It should be able to function the same way as the original (including respawning and having a rideable cloud) but also use extra bytes for additional functionality, like what sprite to throw and how frequently. Also, I support the red Para-Koopa disassembly and the chasing Fishbone. In particular, I considered putting the latter in my last ghost house but ended up being too lazy to code it myself at the time. And the comment about the "stalking pipe Lakitu" makes me wonder what a boss that was essentially the first boss of Goof Troop except with pipe Lakitus would be like in SMW.
If under 4) you mean a door that can rotate, but can be hit (by a shell for example) and fall down to the ground, I may consider that once I clear my queue.

One that doesn't jump and alternates between throwing (2-6) baseballs and punting (1-2) footballs.
For now, I'll pass up on requests invlolving chucks, I may revisit this idea once I (or someone else) disassembles all chucks and makes them easy to edit.

The original Cheep-Cheeps (fish enemies) could act their original behaviors like SMB1. They can swim through solid objects, and their color tells how slow or fast they swim, similar to the Para-Beetle.
On land, when the player jumps on one, the Cheep-Cheep will spawn into a Koopa. Here are the following colors as examples.
Green Cheep-Cheep: slower, Green Koopa
Red Cheep-Cheep: medium speed, Red Koopa
(extra) Yellow Cheep-Cheep (Eep-Cheep): fast, Yellow Koopa
You could also make the Cheep-Cheeps swim completely straight or make them move down and up in a slower zig-zag / wave motion, or fast zig-zag / wave motion like the Eeries

As for a request, i'll join in to the exploding sprites club: what about an explosive Turn Block Bridge?
It would be cool to have the explosion be triggered once the player steps on it, and then having a small timer before it explodes.
If possible, having a way to customize the time for the platform to open and close would be neat as well. That, and having a way to customize whether the platform would open horizontally only, vertically only or both.

How about a Rip Van Fish
but with movement similar to a Jumping Piranha Plant? It comes out of a pipe (or any kind of solid tile), then goes back into solid ground after some time. If that's too much of a nightmare to code, then how about movement similar to a Thwomp, Thwimp, or Podoboo instead? So maybe it chases the player for a little bit, then does some movement, then chases the player again. Really it's up to you if you can come up with a movement pattern that you find especially interesting.

My interpritation of rip van fish, is that it jumps out of the pipe, but when the player wakes it up it turns into regular Rip Van Fish for a bit, then resumes its jumping out of pipe thing? I may consider this once my queue is free.
