Looking for some recommendations, what do you got?

Exactly what it says on the tin. Got back into romhacks by a twist of fate and was looking for some new ones I haven't played before. I was having trouble finding any which stood out to me just by searching around myself so I'm taking to here to ask if there's any hacks you'd recommend I check out?

Note that I'm not a Kaizo player btw, Light Kaizo I wouldn't mind but anything harder than that I likely wouldn't be able to get past level one. Other than that I'll really take pretty much any recs.
All of Gamma V's hacks, SMW2+3: The Essence Star, and A Plumber for All Seasons, to start.

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.

I would also recommend pretty much all of the Gamma V's hacks from what I've seen of them. She does an outstanding job and never seems to run out of creativity.

Personally recommend SMW Master Quest Reborn. Fun one!

Seconding Gamma's hacks. They're all pretty wonderful in terms of design. Super Luigi Land is my personal favorite and has a fair amount of alternative routes/exits in the overworld. The modified Luigi physics are a breath of fresh air too. Her latest work (Kaizo Conspiracy) is also pretty great with a fun little meta script.

I'd also definitely recommend Bandicoot's hacks. Namely Quest for Gaming. That one was my first foray back into Mario World hacking in a good bit and it's genuinely really fun! Solid level design, good aesthetical variety, and a fair amount of replay value with the Dragon Coin tracking system/Moons. My only real 'this might be slightly offputting' complaint is that the author isn't a native English speaker, so some lines come off as slightly odd. There's also some really mild profanity ('Damn it!' is used twice - not exactly something Nintendo would use), but it's not big enough of a deal breaker for me. I've also been working through The Princess Rescue 2 since it got updated and also feel that's pretty solid!

Peach's Adventure is also really fun if you enjoy the aesthetic of Bros. 1 with some great level design.

This Hack Needs A Name is a bit old, but I really enjoy that one too. Mostly restricts itself to vanilla graphics with some slight palette modifications, but said palette modifications are gorgeous. Level design and overworld capture that 'freedom' Mario World has really well.
I'm something of an irregular hack player but the VLDC compilation hacks are always great. Everyone except a couple odd people at the bottom puts their best foot forward, so 80%-90% of the levels are at least decently fun and almost anything in the top 50% will be a unique, exciting, and fun experience. Every level is playable from the start and is designed to be a complete experience on its own, so there's no pressure to beat levels you don't like or are too difficult.

Super Mario World Central Production 2 is an extremely high-quality hack. Some of the levels are rather long and difficult and use iffy gimmicks, but there's a huge amount of content and nearly every level is expertly crafted. It also has an amazing, all-original soundtrack that is worth listening to on its own. Fair warning, though, it's much harder than Standard: Normal; it's more like Hard or even Very Hard. I currently have over 1000 deaths and 40 hours of playtime and I still haven't beaten the last four levels of the special world.

Super Mario Universe is a pretty standard, but very fun hack. It's pretty average difficulty, but I enjoyed not dying ten or so times every level. Good music and each level has something new to offer.

Last but certainly not least, Super Mario World - Mario's Expedition is a Metroidvania-style hack that is insanely enjoyable to play. Of all the hacks I've mentioned, this one is the most raw fun. Most of the levels and areas are pretty standard SMW ROMhack fare but there's just something about the way the world is structured that makes you keep coming back for more until you've found every last secret. Difficulty is pretty average for an SMW ROMhack, pretty similar to Super Mario Universe.
I'd like to know which ones work with the SNES Mini please.

A lot of the ones that use Lunar Expand or have the death counter mod (like SMWCP2 - is it possible to remove it?) don't work on Canoe and I prefer to keep it stock. A few others used it, removed it and they work without it.

A lot of the others do perfectly, even Plumber For All Seasons which is very impressive.
