#wario{O_o}!!! Just over halfway with a positive average??? AWESOME!!!!!

One thing I had to learn the hard way was that capes can toggle turn blocks, since I only figured that out after the deadline. But at least I know now to consider when to give away cape, hence why I added blocks to jump over on the disco shell part (you could just run then fly up to the 4th dragon coin). I've also figured I should reset time when you enter a reset door, as I didn't realise that puzzles make first time players take more time (I was following the 100 seconds remaining tip unaware of that).
I definitely make some really good stuff, it's just I'm still figuring out new essential methods of testing my own level. Another one of my weaknesses is making sure everything meshes together. Considering that I am a bit of a creativity type of level designer (while making sure it's still fun to play as best as I can), some of my ideas and setups tend to be unorthodox for what I'm trying to go for.
These level design contests really help elevate my design skills, and everyone elses too. And mainly being my primary SMWC interest (I'll make my first hack before KLDC, don't worry).

Halfway through my level, I realized I got a bit too ambitious - I believe there's a lot of potential with my idea, but I think it would take a lot more than one level to properly realize it.
"Nope, not in the top 10. One day I will make in. *I check the full results and see I got 11th*. Wow that was sooooo close!!!"

Yeah, I was running out of non-bad ideas for my level, that's why it's short. I'm sure there's more crazy fun things to do with my rexes if done right...

For the random gfx power-up blocks, well I was inspired by fake turn blocks... #smw{^_^}
Also how do you teleport into the switch green blocks and die?

Fun fact: There's a little extra of code for my custom rexes since without it, a fully squished bi-colored rex will shown 2 colors instead of one.
Pun fact: Yes the idea comes from a pun!

21th place eh? I guess it's aright score, I should probably do a lot more testing and polishing my level next time. But, at least I score decently alright! Like I said before, I should do some more testing and polishing a lot more carefully next time! Oh and congrats to the winners! And GbreezeSunset espeically! Seriously, amazing level that GbreezeSunset did!

Congratulations everyone! As always in CLDC there was a lot of cool levels from folks showing off a bunch of neat ideas. Also, thanks to  Alex for asking to collab as I had no plans to participate until he had. #smrpg{<3}
I haven't play any of the CLDC 2023 levels but I have been reading the judges comments on my own level.
The spoiler will be written for those that want to play my level blind. Otherwise click if you had played already.
Now that the results are here, I'll react to those levels (and my own to commentate)
to see how good you design it and the difficulty strength.

Aki Fortress actually has a checkpoint, it's very hidden in the level. The P-Switch is a hint to the checkpoint.
Oh, I got 15th place.

9th place is pretty good. I think I spent the most effort on this contest's entry than any other from before. I even scrapped the level once and went with a different concept, which resulted in the final entry. Though I admit that I got a bit lazy towards the end and could've spent a bit of extra time for polish. Still, I am satisfyed with the end result.

Also, the screen scroll parts aren't for making sure things spawn, they're simply to show what's ahead to the player, before they jump in, though I guess I placed the very first screen transition poorly.
This CLDC seems to feel like the scores are low, but well, I don't think it matters...
Anyway, I'm satisfied with the 24th, the 10th from the back.

eh, that's what i expected from patching the "wrong" rom file.

wanted to fix that problem on the last days and replace the level on the Super Mario World(USA) rom, but the programs just like broken with that, so...

I guess i will learn from that mistake, anyways, thanks for everything and i hope ya have a good day
