Tip: When determining a time limit, remember that players won't be as familiar with the level as you are. If you normally complete the level with the timer around 100, others might run out of time on their first try.
I'm on 1-8 atm and I'm absolutely loving it so far. This hack has everything I loved about the original and more. The level of difficulty is just hard enough for a challenge yet is still fun as hell. This hack and Golden Yoshi's are the best examples of how creative you can make YI without changing things up too much. In fact (not to kiss your guys asses) but I like these way more than the OG!
I would be further along in the game but I'm involved with GY's SMW2+ which is just amazing too. YI is easily my favorite game and you guys have truly made my life more complete. OK I'll stop with the ass kissing now lol.
I'm really surprised these two hacks aren't more well known with people. There doesn't seem to be very much info/dl's on the net that I've found. Such a shame. Although that Cauchemar89 guy that posted the Let's Play Kamek's Revenge on YouTube has probably generated some interest. I've watched quite a few of his videos and that dude is hilarious, definitely a fun time. I've also posted these hacks on my blog (which is mainly a hip hop blog btw) and have had several dl's: SMW2+ is at 150 downloads and KR is at 81 and I only posted them 2 weeks ago! So at least some of us are getting the word out there.

I don't think that's necessarily so. SMW2+ is on several sites. Mine, of course, derok.net, and romhacking.net. I've seen info posted on other forums besides the ones I post at, and I get frequent emails of people wanting to play it. Keep in mind the hack is over 2 1/2 years old as well.
I think the most you will find out about these hacks would be on forums like these. I've even seen interest for both SMW2+ and Kamek's Revenge on GameFAQs at some point as well. But as you know, after a while forum topics become obsolete and often eventually get deleted, so as a hack ages, I think the amount of info you can find will deplete to.
Sorry to go off-topic a bit, but I think it pretty much applies to ROM hacks in general. I think they're just mostly seen on forums such as these.
Anyway, thanks for the support and hosting the hacks.
What effect are you talking about, because I don't remember using any in that level besides the lava >_>
When I move in levels with fuzzy's, the screen shakes.
Come to think of it, ever since I redownloaded znses,Ive been getting all kinds of errors with YI.
That's easy to fix. Just push 8 on your keyboard to disable the New GFX Engine. That fixes the scrolling glitch. Just don't keep it disabled too long because some other things will look weird with the New GFX Engine disabled.
Anyway SNN, I've already told you how awesome your hack was after beta testing it earlier. I loved the level design and the remixes of some of the song. 5-3 was epic win. The level was long, had an awesome theme to it, and it was fun at the same time.
This was a known GFX "timing" problem with the ZSNES Emulator as noted in these ZSNES forum threads:
I've played the YI: Kamek's Revenge hack and runs pretty well. Pretty good with ZSNES 1.51 and somewhat okay with Snes 9x 1.51. I don't mind having the "New GFX engine" in Zsnes off for a long time when playing YI: Kamek's Revenge.
keep doing Google and Yahoo searches, Dark Waffle and Pebbles. You may find a "good" YI v1.0 rom out there. otherwise, contact me and...you'll figure out what I mean - can't say it here.
I have a problem, when I go to play this, on the zsnes it doesn't even start it just appears than disappears, on the zsnex9 it freezes after the first cutscene, y it happening?
It must be the same kind of problem that I am having. As for my problem, I think it's just a code misarrangement. I end up getting "äâãáàåäâãáàåäâãáàåäâãáàåäâãáàå" instead of actual text dialogue. And then it freezes at the cutscene. Unfortunately, I'm not really familiar with fixing it.
