KAIZO LEVEL DESIGN CONTEST X - RESULTS

It’s been a while, everyone. You good? Getting enough vegetables?

I come with good tidings, and Kaizo Level Design Contest results.

Firstly, I want to thank  GlitchCat7,  LouisDoucet,  shovda, and  StayAtHomeStegosaurus for their time, energy, patience, and deliberations. It’s a testament to how much we all care about these levels, and this contest.

I also want to thank the SMWC and larger kaizo communities. This contest has been a labor of love for me personally for the past four years, and I’m grateful to be trusted with the chance to showcase this work. I love this place, I love these games, and I’m glad to be able to share this with you all.

Congratulations to all, and thank you again for 10 contests of amazing, groundbreaking levels.

Here’s to the future of kaizo. Whatever it is, we saw the first glimpse of it here.
I'm not a doctor.

Selicre's victory is definitely deserved. Actually mindblowing entry.

(rip my other userbars momentarily)

Thank you to everyone involved for organizing this. It's been a blast making an entry this year, and the entries from everybody else have been incredible. Looking forward to future contests.
I saw tons of banger levels in this contest, great work everyone! Big congrats to Selicre and everyone else!

I'm happy with my placement, I wasn't expecting too much being out of the scene for such a long time, but it worked out pretty well. Gotta give a big thanks again to YouFailMe and ThirdWall for testing my level, made lots of changes off their feedback which probably helped push me up a good number of places (shoutouts to the original end of my second screen involving a hellish disco shell sequence).
Dear Judge 'StayAtHomeStegosaurus',

I couldn't help noticing while perusing your Judging Evidence that it appears as though you have mistakenly misplaced your friendly discord DM invitation within my level's commentary. I couldn't help but notice that all other patrons have received this kind gesture. Please kindly remediate this issue, or I will not be able to relay the extremely lengthy list of qualms with your judging that I have drafted.

Best Wishes,
HAPPY TIN ANNIVERSARY KLDC!!!!! #smrpg{y}

Look at how far we've come, from crash castle in 2009, to motor skills in 2016, to where we are now. Isn't it amazing to see just how much we've evolved in ten years of these kaizo contests? The legacy that we, as a community have created.

This marks a special moment for KLDC as a whole, and I'm glad I myself, and the 67 other participants, got to contribute to it. #thp{^_^}

GG to everyone, especially the top 3, here's to creating further kaizo levels! #wario{^_^}

I agree. I'm curious to learn how the gimmick was pulled off.

That said, congrats, babes! Here's to KLDCXI, whenever that is.
Hopefully it goes better than my OKLDC3 entry...

I got 80.25 (42nd/68)
Not bad, actually pretty good!

This time I'm happy how my kinda last week entry turns out #tb{:D}

thing!

Yep!
My entry was designed to be as welcoming yet tricky kaizo:beginner (Kaizo:intermediate apparently #smrpg{ohno}), to prove that easiness doesn't make a kaizo level bad! Did I succeed? Maybe.

 Selicre, your entry is incredible and historical! Congrats!!! #w{<3}

Thank you to  BD_PhDX and the judges for this high quality kaizo contest! #w{<3}

Now I have to play Dangerous Dinghy from Fail World
My 1st romhack in progress (testing avaiable)...

congratulations and gg to all! 🥳 ..and even more to the first, well deserved places! ...wow - so many good entries! I am happy with my placement and with the feedback I got 🙂 thanks to the judges and hosts.
I am satisfied with 49th place.
Congratulations to all the winners.
I am yoshi9429 enjoying Lunar Magic and Touhou Danmakufu ph3 and RPG Maker MV.
Congratulations to the winners and honestly congrats to everyone who submitted. There were a ton of really cool levels and y'all should be proud.

Shoutouts to the staff and judges too; it must be a massive amount of work, and I appreciate it <3
Well, congrats to the winners and all the creators who entered the contest. Maybe I will participate in Contest XI next year, when I actually publish some projects I have been working on.
