We Like It Here by the Super Mario Makers

Super Mario WorldKaizo/PitWork in ProgressTrailer

It's time to publicly announce the collab I've been organizing:

We Like It Here by the Super Mario Makers

The Super Mario Makers are Brakkie, Buflen, Donkeymint, JeepySol, mmmdoggy, NewPointless, revolug, and Scags.

This is a 43 exit hack that focuses on Kaizo: Intermediate platforming stages, but we threw in a few curveballs for variety.

Something we did to spice up the level design process is to experiment with different ways to work with collaboration and authorship. Inspired by Transmission Chain Experiment, we made levels with random themes, made setups one at a time and passing the ROM to the next creator, or alternated full control of the level from person to person.

Nevertheless, this isn't the main focus of the hack. It's a fun and refreshing hack with a bit of a challenge, and it's a celebration of Mario Maker creators in the SMW hacking community.

For now, enjoy this trailer. Beta testing will begin very soon.

NewPointless
We have a kaizo hack with great difficulty added here. Unlike others, it's interesting to see levels designed by Super Mario Maker users of all things. It's quite good.
Oh, seems like there are some big names working on this. And Brakkie is part of the team? Guess the OW will be fantastic then.
Yooo this looks sick
Looks incredible. A collab with some of the best creators and Scags!
You got some interesting and creative ideas shown in the trailer, and it is always a treat to see. Hope to see it be eventually released.
Modern Redrawn Mario Bros. 1.5 (last update - February 14, 2023, some new bonus frames, tons of minor touchups to various poses)

On Pixel Art Requests: Depends on what it is and if I have the time for it. If its complex and I don't have the time, don't expect me to accept it.

Projects I support:

Amazing #smrpg{<3}. I still prefer standard hacks, but this looks really good! (when I learn kaizo il play it)
Check out my DKC rips!

That's exciting! Also sick Snarky Puppy reference.
With this talented cast of creators and NewPointless leading the project, this hack surely will not disappoint. I can't wait to check it out! :)
It's nice to see people coming from different communities and finding a home in SMW Central!

This hack looks neat!
There's a lot of interesting level ideas shown by the rather unique gimmicks in the trailer, the "kill a sprite to flip the on/off" and "kill flopping fish to break the enemy stack" in particular called my attention!
Looking forward to when this is released!
