Welcome to my thread for the 2024 Winter C3!
This time, I'm releasing two short demos.
You can find the download for both demos on the bottom of this post.

Friend Level Compilation - 4 Level Demo
This is a demo of a project that was started in November 2023. There aren't many levels, because not all of my friends are participating on this (some refused, and some agreed, but forgot to do their levels).

The levels in these screenshots, from left to right, were made by: Green Jerry (me), N450, Googie and oquendo.

Super Boss Collection Remastered - Mega Man Demo
This is a demo of a remaster of my Super Boss Collection hack, with only the Mega Man bosses. It has all the Mega Man bosses present on the original hack, along with a new one: Cut Man.

Note: The map has Ring Man, however you can't enter it to battle him, as he doesn't work (it's from Super Kitiku Mario aka Brutal Mario, but it won't work even after converting it).

Ahh, this collab... I remember you DM'ing me if I wanted to participate and I was interested in it, yet I didn't have time. Guess I was late to the party... #tb{D:}

With that being said, I'll try it out and give my two cents!

I'm not qutie sure about the first hack as the big boo is recolored with orange in an area, but the 2nd one really deserves a shot.

A'ight, I played the collab hack and so far, so good! The first three levels are easy yet balanced, so that is good. However, the fourth level is quite underwhelming and has some issues:

- Obviously, there are major sprite memory problems with the boos and gas bubbles where part of them turn invisible, so you should use either NMSTL or (better yet, with a small caveat) Ragey's Roam patch, as it is faster than NMSTL.

- Why is there a P-balloon and glass block in the level? Not only are they useless, they're also garbled...

- No warning for when the reappearing boo buddies will appear.

- Incorrect palettes for the boos.

- Too short and could easily expand on the main gimmick of the level. Has lots of untapped potential.

I think this level should be redone from scratch; actually, if the original level author lets me, I could improve it myself as I am still interested in this collab. Aside from that, there are some miscellaneous issues with the hack, including incorrect key and dragon coin indicator palettes, uncleared vanilla events, and dying in the title screen.

A played the Friend Level Compilation. For me, the forest temple by N450 was a high point. Keep up the good work! I guess making stuff with friends is what it's all about so it's still cool to see and play through. #smrpg{y}

Turns out the demos have some errors, like the miscolored indicators and vanilla events on Friend Level Compilation, and being able to be softlocked on the Star Man boss due to the arena having a ceiling, where Star Man can jump over it and never come back down, and I later noticed the username credit on the overworld messages for some of the bosses are outdated (EternityLarva nowadays goes by ShadowMistressYuko).

I'm not home right now, but I'll fix the errors when I get back home.

Glad to be part of this collab. Looking forward to more levels in the hack. Mega Man bosses have always been cool!
I'll have to try these out later. What's the context for the boss collection?

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.
I had said I was going to fix the errors on  AmperSam's first C3 demos stream after getting back home, but only updated the demos now.

On the Friend Level Compilation, I made some minor changes to Hilly Mayhem and Spooky Dark Forest, and on Super Boss Collection Remastered, the Star Man softlock has been fixed by removing the ceiling.

What's the context for the boss collection?

The original hack that was released in 2022 was made to see how many bosses I could insert into a single ROM. But with the remaster, it'll be split into multiple ROMs due to the amount of bosses that exist.
