DAY 2: Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 Font for b4vwf

Super Mario WorldGraphicsResource ReleaseScreenshots

DAY 1: A Semi-Normal Castle it's Full Released!
DAY 2: Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 Font for b4vwf
DAY 3: Ripping Miscellaneous Tilesets - Super Mario Bros. 3 Styled Space

I present to you something I've never seen anyone else do, at least something I haven't seen publicly available. See the screenshots below:

"Hi! I can say that this font from Super Mario Advance 2 is officially on b4vwf, and on Super Mario World too."

"Now, you can make dialogues with the font similar to Super Mario World, but with the possibility of having accents!"

"This font was originally ripped by Yoshi5, and I, Heitor Porfirio, made some edits to make it more complete, with all the characters available."

"Now the messages end here. I hope you liked it!
Hit the message box next to it to be teleported to the Overworld automatically."

"Alright, your wish is my command.
Teleporting in 3... 2... 1..."

Alright, now I'll explain it with slightly more details. This is the font from Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 completely dedicated to the b4vwf patch!
This resource should really suit those people who make story-based hacks (or not) with more than one language other than English, and at the same time want to make the messages more fascinating. If you're looking for this, today is your day!

The Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2 font was originally ripped by Yoshi5 on Mario Fan Games Galaxy, you can check the sheet here. And I, Heitor Porfirio, made many modifications to make the font compatible with most Latin characters.
Also included in the file is a ReadMe file explaining how to insert the font.

And if you want to see a preview of what the font graphics file looks like, here it is:

And for you to enjoy the magic happening in the game a little more, here are two more screenshots:

"Welcome! This is the dinosaur land. In this strange land, we find that Princess Peach is missing again!
Looks like Bowser is at it again..."

"Hi! Sorry I'm not home, but I have gone to rescue my friends who were captured by Bowser.
- Yoshi"

Have fun with the font! #smrpg{y}
Great font! are you good at it. I will use it so that one day I can create my own project (maybe) #smrpg{y}

Thank you for the kind words! So far I haven't seen any other user publishing a new font for this patch, and I hope this becomes more and more common.
Very useful resource, definetely I would like to see more fonts for the b4vwf patch. Thanks for making it. I didn't even know that I needed it. #smrpg{mlem}

Thanks again,  Anorakun! #tb{^V^}

I'm not sure if I rip some more fonts and edit them for the b4vwf patch.

Maybe I should do that in the future... #tb{''}
That's so great! I'm surely going to use it on a future hack that uses b4vwf patch!

And seeing the PT-BR messages, you are really good with portuguese messages creation and translating, Heitor Porfirio!

I really appreciate these comments! #smrpg{y}

And thanks about the messages, I really have some practice and inspiration on this. And in addition to Portuguese, it works very well for other languages such as Spanish, German, French, and others.
Man, those look really good in b4vwf! #thp{!!!}

Excellent job on putting them together and releasing for everyone, which I'm sure will be very useful for people that want to make hacks on their mother languages that require those characters. Even I feel tempted to, after seeing how they look in-game.
b4vwf is already a versatile avenue for large messages, and now it's even better with the Brazilian accents. We're thankful for your efforts!

One small nitpick is that some accents, when using certain vowels, are drawn in such a way that they look weird literally touching the vowels. That's mostly the case with ´ and `. Maybe removing at least one pixel would alleviate that.

Sorry, I came from a distant planet 🪐
Thank you very much  Ringo and  Katerpie, and I knew this would be very useful for people who do translations in hacks!

This may be true, but if you reduced the accents of some vowels by a pixel as you said, it would be difficult to distinguish which accentuation is on the letter itself, like 'é' and 'è'.

And to make them distinguishable like that, I would have to make the letter smaller, which would look very strange, in my opinion.

But thanks for the feedback! #smrpg{y}
This is way better than the normal message box font. Good job!
Huh, I didn't realize that SMW and SMA2's fonts were different. Is the expanded character set of the latter the only change?

I'm working on a hack! Check it out here. Progress: 64/95 levels.

This font has some barely noticeable changes in some letters beyond the accented letters, like the letter 'a' which is most notable, and others like the letters 'M' and 'N'.

Ah, and thanks for the kind words, Lightning! #smrpg{y}
