Rigatoni with potato cream, cheese and sausage

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another fantastic episode of Cooking Waka, where I cook and you get food poison!

Before we begin, I deeply thank Sariel for inspiration for this thread (we were drunk, we went trough the pics I took, and we shot random nonsense at them).

In this episode, we prepare a dish which is very summer-y (the pics were taken last summer), but which is very good in any season:
PASTA FIOCCO.
(or alternatively, rigatoni with potato cream, cheese and sausages)

You may heard about "pizza fiocco":

This is Wakana's favourite pizza kind. I always order it in my favourite pizzeria! #tb{^V^}
But... why limiting the fiocco flavor to just a pizza, when we could base pasta with it?
Of course, we get creative with it. I won't use prociutto ham, but sausages.

Without further ado, let's get straight into it!
The ingredients needed are shown below, for 1 person:

- Olive Oil (must be extra virgin), one spoon
- Salt & Sanctuary and Pepper
- 1 sosig
- Formaggino, more specifically, Parmareggino
- Grated Cheese
- 1 Patata
- 80g of Rigatoni pasta

Credits of these supplies:
- Cirio for the oil
- Wudy for the sosig
- Parmareggio for the Parmareggino
- Selex for the grated cheese and for the pasta, the latter being rigorosamente trafilata al bronzo
- my aunt from Stardew Valley, in provincia di Novara, for the patata

You can see that there's something else among the ingredients!
The recipe is quite complex, but I have no fear, as I have a special sous chef.
Straight for Super Mario World...

...Mario Brothers!!
(Brothers is the last name).

He will help in keeping your motivation high for cooking the best pasta, as well as dealing with some hazards during the recipe.

OK LET'S GET TO COOK!

First off, take your parmareggino, and put it in freezer.

Again, pics were taken during summer... which was really hot (37° in my room!), so the parmareggino is all soft and wobbly. We need it to get hard a bit.
So, while we'll do else, we keep the parmareggino in the freezerino.

Take a pot and fill it with water! This is where we will put the pasta to heat.
Don't forget to set the level as a water level in Lunar Magic, or else, your pasta won't float (it will fall to the bottom of the pot as if there was no water at all).

Put the pot in the pot heater and pat the Mario.
Use the help of your sus chef to make sure no cheep cheep will generate in the water.
The Mario will take care of it eventually.

While the water slowly becomes a lava tile, we get to the potato cream now!
Grab a knif, and take the sosig out.

Chop the sosig OOOUUUCCHHHHH!! in 4 pieces, as seen in the pics. These will be our pink torpedo teds now.

Where do torpedo teds go?
...Yes, you can place them anywhere, but we place them in water.
Torpedo Teds don't need buoyancy, but I suggest to activate it. These are custom sprites that need buoyancy to work (you'll see why!).

We cook the torpedo teds. The logic is to place them in water, and then turn the water into lava tiles. This will trigger them, thus, turning them in the next sprite in the sprites list.
Again, make sure the Mario is always around, you never know.

Grab the potato, and undress it.
If you attempt this, a message will appear, and you'll be stuck.
In order to do this, age confirmation is needed, since undressing is NSFW and this website is for all the family to enjoy.

So, go to SMWC, and login as I'm doing here!
Once you login, and set your age in a way so that the difference between the current date and the user's birth date is bigger or equal than 18 years, you can finally undress your potato.

We undressed the potato.
If it blushes, it's very good. It means the potato is very fresh and feels like it's in a naughty world.

**WARNING: GORE/VIOLENCE**

Slash the potato in pieces.
Do it with love, so that the potato will keep blushing as you see in the pic.

Place a spoon of oil, some salt, pepper, and grated cheese in the bowl.
If you are unsure about the quantities, refer to your sous chef. If it makes a sound of approval, it means you guessed them correctly.
Also, I didn't use love here, so as you see, my potato stopped blushing. Ah well....

Mix troughly, and add a few Pokeys sprites if you can. They'll give this dish a desert level vibe, which greatly fits with the summer-y weather and high temperatures and icelands melting and water levels rising.

Meanwhile, let's check on the torpedo teds!
As you can see, they're getting excite- I mean, they are slowly turning into something else.
Let them cook a bit more. They have to make a more pronunciated arc, similar to... can't tell I think, can I?
Let's just say they have to get happy.

Enough time passed, so it's time to take the parmareggino from the freezer!
It didn't became solid enough... if not at all. But I didn't care.

Place the parmareggino in the potato thing we did earlier.
Don't worry about the Pokeys not being here anymore. Probably my sous chef got rid of them, which is okay.

Mix the potato stuff.
It has to be dense.
It must be dense, since we didn't put any liquids so far. Definitely as dry as a desert!

An important tool we need is this thing!
We used this in previous recipes as well. If you don't own one, see the previous episodes of Cooking Waka, since I teach you how to craft one there.

Place the tool in the sink like this. My sous chef is already having a lot of fun with it.
Just make an extra check for when you'll need it. We don't want to pour lava onto the Mario.

If you check on the torpedo teds, you can see that the pot stopped working. This is because we need to perform Age Confirmation again. So, do the steps I previously told you, to keep going with the recipe.
Doing this will ultimate the final cooking part of the torpedo teds. So, you can lower the flame for now.

Before we handle the torpedo teds, check if the water from the bigger pot became lava. To do so, place your cursor on the surface of the water. If it says it's Direct Map16 Access Tile 4, it means that it's a lava surface... which indeed proves the water underneath became lava!

We throw the pasta in the water, gently...
Don't mind the traces of pepper inside the pasta dish, I messed it up ehehe.
Rigatoni is quite thick and hard and big pasta, so it needs more time than usual to cook.
In this case, we'll wait for 15 minutes. So, set your timer here!

After cooking the pasta for a while, it's time to salt it!

Here's a very useful tip I can give you for cooking in general.
If you have troubles balancing the amount of salt to put in your pasta, you just have to do the Italian hand. Italian hand (with a medium sized hand) will give the right amount of salt if you just want it to be subtle. If you want to add a tiny bit more for extra flavour, you're welcome to do so.

Before you place the salt inside the pot with the pasta, make sure you have Ladida's cluster effects pack installed. Salt falling irl is made by Ladida's cluster sprite effects, so if you don't have it, yellow shelless koopas will be generated from your hand instead.
Ok! Now we can let the pasta cook!

Let's get to the torpedo teds... which became reeeeaaally nice and curvy!
I censored them so we won't have to Age Verify again.

Throw them into the pot with the holes we placed in the sink previously.
Remove all the excess water by shaking the pot with the holes.

Then, throw them into the potato stuff we made before!

With the use of a knif and furk, cut the sosigesises, and mix everything together!
You should be able to obtain a dense potato cheesey cream with cooked pink torpedo teds.
Taste one to see if it's good.

If you're unsure about its taste, or if you trust nobody not even yourself, let your sous chef taste it. If he doesn't die, then it's ok. He may say feedback, but you can ignore it easily, as this recipe is objectively good!

Ok, now we just have to wait for pasta to cook.
Meanwhile I prepare the table.

Here's my meal, other than the pasta fiocco dish that we'll make today.
I made a Pac-Man cake as second, and I'll have a banana at the end.
If you want me to make an episode for the Pac-Man cake, let's reach 5000 subs!

Every once in a while, taste the paste... the pasta.
Once the timer is almost up (I'd say 12-13 minutes), take a step back, and plan your level design.

My level is structured in the following way:
- you start as W I D E M A R I O from the pot with the pasta;
- we will have to throw the pasta into the pot with the holes, and collect the Yoshi Coin (red arrow)
- after that, we have to put the pasta into the potato mix (yellow arrow)
- finally, we'll be able to reach the Goal Post... without the Goal Post sprite. Probably it'll be later in the level.

Remember to keep this strategy in mind.
Once you have your ideas clear, tell about them to your sous chef.
Mine reacted like this:

I don't speak Italian (I'm from Spain), but it sounds kinda depressing. Maybe he doesn't agree...
But let's not fret, as I'm sure he'll like it in the end! Remember to always keep strong for your goals and dreams, and don't let anyone influence you negatively!

Grab a huge spoon.
Now we do the water trick!

Take some of the water from the pot with the pasta.
This water has a lot of pasta scent, which is great if you have to add the creamy factor for your dense sauces.
...which is exactly what we need!

Drop the water into the potatoes.
HERE PAY EXTRA ATTENTION: don't put too much water. If you do, your desert will be flooded, and you'll be eating "pasta with brodo di merda", which is not today's recipe!
I greatly suggest to put a little bit of water at time, and mix at each water drop. This way, you can balance the denseness.

The final potato cream is this one!
As you see, it's not a potato purèe, but it's not even dense. It's an inbetween, which really characterizes the fiocco flavour.

From here on, you don't need the sous chef anymore.
Mine is now watching Princess Peach on the TV.
She's preparing a cake for him.

OK.
IT'S TIME TO THROW THE PASTA IN THE HOLED POT!

We throw it here, grabbing the Yoshi Coin.
Make sure to shake it a lot. We don't need any more pasta water!

Put the pasta in the potato stuff.
W-Wait don't rate it yet! This is not what it'll look like!
Now we have to mix the pasta and the potato cream together.

OOOUHHHH YEEAAHHH, MMMMM BEAUTIFUL
THE MOOOON... BEAUTIFUL
THE SUN... MORE BEAUTIFUL
Ahem.. yes, we are almost done. Your rating should be somewhat near the 5/5.

Add a pinch of grated cheese, and more pepper.

Let the Mario judge the dish. We care about feedback, so we must listen to him.
If he makes microwaves sounds, then he either absolutely hates your dish... or he's in love with it!

COURSE CLEAR!
That's it, we finished it my bois!
All that's left to do is to enjoy the pasta and have a...

That's all everyone!
If you want to make questions about the recipe, go ahead, and I'll be happy to answer to them!

For now I wish you all the best.
See you in the next episode of...

This thread is honestly a highlight for me, I love humor but I also learned how to prepare a tasty meal. Thanks for always having something to teach me Wakana.
I feel like I just witnessed something really dirty and reprehensible. I need to take a shower.

Anyways, I love dirty and reprehensible stuff! Do you have a recommendation for a vegetarian alteration that my partner could eat as well?
Feel free to visit my website/blog - it's updated rarely, but it looks pretty cool!

We could shower together
The recipe is actually very vegetarian-y... with the exception of sausages. You can easily replace the sausages with your favourite veggies (my sous chef suggests eggplants, or zucchine, ...or anything that can give some flavour, since the other ingredients are quite lightly-flavoured)
Buon appetito and let me know what your partner thinks about it! #tb{:DD}

Best use of the art tag I’ve seen in a hot minute. I’m a fan of the sous chef, hope he returns for a future installment of the series. (also the food looks very delectable)

Quick question though, what happens if you exceed the on-screen sprite limit with the number of ingredients in your dish? My friend tried it and added too many teds, and his house despawned.

Your friend must've really exhaggerated with placing teds, as irl is powered by SA-1 by default. Tell him to get rid of some of the teds, and then walk back and forth. Walking back will make the house respawn again if you get distant enough.
Thank you for the kind words as well! And my sous chef is already excited to come back for a future recipe! #tb{^V^}
