Has anyone ever come across any rom hacks with the classic Mario artstyle of Yoichi Kotabe? Like was in all the old Super Mario Bros. booklets and box art etc? Been keen as to play a mario game in this artstyle and I doubt Nintendo will ever make something.

seems challenging to get that airbrush look in 16 bit pixel form but if u can pull it off, more power to u. im sure theres other ways to convey the style like color palette or w/e.
tho personally, i think itd be cooler as a fangame that could actually support a higher res airbrush look, rather than a hack.My layout has removed you.
