Invisible walls when I try to walk of a surface in my sm64 hack.

Hey, first post here. I'm new to sm64 rom hacking and I've made a simple test level in sm64 rom manager which is just three simple jumps from platform to platform and when I try to jump onto the next platform Mario is stopped by an invisible wall. This also happens when I try to walk off the edge of something so Mario is just stuck on the first platform and that's all he can do. Anybody know what my problem is?
I believe the game treats every place with no floor/objects below it as "out of bounds" and puts up invisible walls by default. You should be able to fix this by putting a very large platform beneath everything you are working on. I found a great video made by pannenkoek2012 last week that goes into detail on how the game uses the logic of floors and ceilings to generate invisible walls and try to keep Mario in bounds.
