Seems like this song is a little popular in this thread. Almost like the sequel to the Sand Planet port I did last C3.
Originally posted by icrawfishI was surprised by the calmness of Kalen, which is pleasant even if simple. That combined with the epic nature of Military Government could've convinced me this was just a JRPG off of soundtrack alone.
Kalen was probably the easiest song I ported here because of it's simplicity. Military Government was also pretty easy
Originally posted by icrawfishEnemy Raid, on the other hand, is very of it's genre, I'm not as familiar with the composer so it's interesting to see where the composers that weren't Mitsuda went with their Gun Hazard music.
I'm sure it would interest you to know the same composer also did the music for Treasure Conflix,. Then again, it seems not a whole lot of people know about these games and their soundtracks.
Originally posted by icrawfishGoddess theme being the only one I do recognize is a classic, and I'm guessing you used a Chrono Trigger harp for it in this case? (or one of the games with adjacent samples).
Yeah, I used the Gun Hazard sample pack with this one, but the harp does return from Chrono Trigger (Along with the Low Piano) (Harp is also used in Treasure Conflix, with an ADSR of $FF $E0)
Originally posted by icrawfish I always forget how similar Sutte Hakkun's sample set is to SMW's, so I keep thinking the sampled version is the unsampled for a second, haha.
That's part of why I added a define to use the Vanilla SMW samples. I also think they sound better. The define is also there for those who want 100% accurate sampling.

I've also been told the Sine Wave sample sounds like Earthbound's.
Originally posted by icrawfishI wonder if Treasure Stolen could work for a game over theme, timing wise.
Yeah I can definitely see this being used for a Game Over (Not as a Global song). I'm gonna tag this song as such once it's submitted to the section.
