Hello welcome to my C3 thread, this C3 I'll be releasing updates to some previous sprites I released all of which have been completely rewritten, so anyway here they are.

DKC 2 Lockjaw
Lockjaw from DKC 2, now behaves slightly closer to his DKC 2 counterpart

DKC 3 Nid
Nid from DKC 3, now has many new functions such as
-being able to move horizontally
-moving to the direction the player is facing at
-ability to slowly increase it's jump height on it's own
-the pink variant from the original game that only jumps if the player is standing on it
-a custom blue one that will start jumping once the player steps on it once
also many of it's settings can be controlled with extra bytes or a simple define in the asm file

YI Baseball Boys
the baseball boys from Yoshi's Island has new functions such as:
-ability to show the current sprite it has grabbed (this currently is limited to a 16x16 sprite tile)
-ability to grab any normal or custom sprite if defined to do so through a table meaning it can now grab custom sprites such as the included egg projectile
-ability to infinitely throw any normal or custom sprite through a list indexed with an extra byte
also currently this new version only has the green glove implemented.

the egg projectile has also been updated and can now
-bounce off walls similar to the original games egg projectile
-trigger blocks like shells
-explode once the egg shatters
-ability to set the amount of times it can collide with objects before shattering through extra property bytes
-knock the player towards the direction the egg projectile was headed to, requires an uberasm code to function

I can only imagine the mayhem the sprite-grabbing Baseball Boy will inspire.
Nice to see you improved these sprites! One question though regarding the Lockjaw, have you thought of making a customizable define for its speed when it moves toward the player, or a define for how close the player has to be for the Lockjaw to detect them? As I recall in DKC2, they get more dangerous in later worlds (by Animal Antics, they move quickly toward Enguarde and I *think* they can detect him from a little further away then say Lockjaw's Locker, but I could be wrong as it's been a while since I played DKC2).

Also, with the YI Baseball Boys, I have a question I meant to ask at the 2021 summer C3 when you first released them, can the Sluggers (the yellow ones with a bat) hit a Chomp Rock, even if the Chomp Rock is placed next to the Slugger? If so, could you possibly post a screenshot please? IIRC in YI, Sluggers that hit a Chomp Rock would make it move really fast.

I'm curious if you're planning in reworking the Snapjaw sprite or if you're satisfied with it.

I already had so much fun by adding these sprites in one of my ~omh~ levels. The spiders were part of a nasty little troll. And the Snapjaw was used as jumpscare near the orb. Thanks for cooking these DKC2 / DKC3 sprites, they have a special place in my heart.

The baseball boys are even more fun, I'm tempted to try them very soon. #smrpg{sick}

I don't really remember but I think the sluggers I released from C3 summer 2021 couldn't interact with anything that wasn't a carryable sprite, though I do plan on making this possible for the new version of the sluggers once I implement them.

I still plan on updating it alongside some of the other sprites I previously released that aren't here such as Bit from MMX3 or the YI Flippers.

With the exception of Nid, I don't think I ever saw one of these before .
I recall wanting to use it at some point, but stayed away, because without any sort of jumping animation it felt kind of lackluster, but this doesn't seem to be an issue anymore.

Really nice sprites. Some of them will prove to be useful for many. The Sluggers is quite interesting as it's a sprite I've never seen before done. Might prove useful for my hack, if I have the opportunity to continue.

Gosh, the baseball gang looks amazing! Almost too polished for SMW standards. You need to make it a little worse to fit into SMW.

These are some really cool sprites!

The Baseball Boys are clearly the star of the show. They seem to be very faithful to their Yoshi's Island counterpart, and there's a lot of potential with the fact they can grab any sprite. And when paired with the heavily customizable egg sprite, i'm sure it will make for great uses in levels!
The Nids are also really nice in the way they've been expanded from their original DKC3 design. The possibility of changing their movement, height and make them go the direction the player is facing will certainly make them useful for many uses.
And finally, the Lockjaw, although less customizable than the other two sprites, it also seems to be very well made. As said from an earlier post, it would be nice to have customizable options for them, if possible.

Do this, make a turtle and when you bounce on him he flys out and acts like a spinning koopa shell, but its just the naked turtle.

Like the naked turtle acts like a kicked shell when come out of the shell when you bounce on him.
These baseball boys have become too powerful, too many cursed possibilities.
