Hack: Greatest Hits

Super Mario WorldStandardFull Release

Nearly 15 years ago I started the Hack series. Since then, I've created 16 entries, including branching off into various subseries. Now, we have the 17th entry:

HACK: GREATEST HITS

This entry serves as a retrospective to the series. Gimmicks from all previous Hacks are featured here in one-screen levels.

Special thanks to Daizo Dee Von for the title screen graphics.
This was a great hack. I had a lot of fun. I loved the whole throwback vibe and it was super creative to keep each setup going within a single frame. I also loved the tension of the last room. I think it's a good thing to fit 4 gimmicks into a single frame. It only made it harder in that last room when you were getting a throw block and the wall run kicked in, but it wasn't too bad. It was perfect!
Now that I've started working, I won't be able to be as active as before. This is really very sad and depressing for me.

How on Earth are you supposed to beat Tootsie Pop?

Played a few levels of this and this is really fun! I like the one screen puzzle/trial gimmick, it flows really well and the gimmicks in each stage are very creative.

More like Hard to keep track because you're so dang prolific!

This is the first hack I'd have seen myself playing if I'd had any time at all this C3. (I'll try and get to it later!) Either way it was fun trying to figure out the solutions just from looking at the screenshots. #ab{^^;;;}

Haven't played this yet, but I guess this counts as being your first Kaizo hack, seeing as the moderator that accepted it added the Kaizo: Beginner difficulty alongside Standard: Hard.

Wasn't my intention to be Kaizo, but if you all say so. 🤷
Wow, this Hacks is like a tiny C3 Museum of all yours "Hack" series :D

Looks so good and of course, playing that will make come back some sweet memories of years ago.

Definitively I'll try this one!
I'm working on a collab Hack, and we're looking for partners with GFX and/or ASM skills to work with us on Pub Quest For RR. If you're interested, contact me!

Well... I can't believe this is the FIRST EVER Kaizō hack you ever made, sir. Going to try this one out!

My first Kaizo hack was accidental. #smw{^_^}

But hey, I'm embracing it. Just curious, what exactly is giving off a Kaizo feeling in this hack? Is it the difficulty? The preciseness of some gimmicks?
Not into Kaizo. But honestly I am going to play this, since I love your hack series!
