Super Mario World: Adventure in Forest Land - Level gameplay videos

Now that Super Mario World: The 4 Magic Wands has been finished, released and accepted on the SMW Hacks section, I've started working on my next hack.

Just like SMW: The 4 Magic Wands, this hack is being made on my phone with Winlator, as I still don't have access to a real Windows computer right now.

Story:
Oh no! Bowser has kidnapped Mario, and now he's lost in Forest Land! Mario must defeat Bowser and escape from this land!

World 2: Gamma Forest
World 3: Cherry Forest
World 4: Bamboo Forest
World 5: Autumn Forest

You didn't beta test SMW: The 4 Magic Wands, that's why I didn't add you to that hack's credits.

Haven't worked on any more levels as of yet, but here are the bosses for the first 4 castles in this hack:

Vanilla Forest: Whispy Woods

Yes, I'm going to use this Kitiku Mario boss in this hack. He's very easy to defeat, so he's the boss for world 1.

Gamma Forest: Ptooie

For the second world, this boss that was made by Roberto zampari originally for Waluigi's Road to Glory: Horlogic Will Go On, and later released during the 2021 Summer C3 is the boss for world 2.

Cherry Forest: Foliage the Para-Plant

This boss that was made by  Erik originally for Morton's Empire, and later released during the 2016 Summer C3 (and again during the 2018 Winter C3) is the boss for world 3. It was originally made for Romi's Spritetool (along with requiring the shared subroutines patch), so I went ahead and converted it for use with PIXI.

Bamboo Forest: Giant Piranha

This boss that several people seems to not like (as of right now, it has a rating of 3.2 stars) is also going to be in this hack, as the boss for world 4.

Would've used that one if someone had made it for SMW. But now I can't, as the bosses for worlds 1 to 4 have been chosen already. The boss for world 5 will be Bowser, as that's the last world in this hack.

The overworlds are very radiant here. Also, the boss for world 1 seems to be just a perfect choice. As a cordial point I'd say the other bosses, for being all them piranha plant variations, it may get too familiar to players. After all, great work Green Jerry, and it's impressive your agility for hack producing!

Note: The Switch Palace won't have Yoshi Coins. I just forgot to hide the coin icons there.

Also I forgot to say that this hack is a reboot of an old unfinished hack of mine, which is the first one shown in this thread (Super Mario World: Forest Travelling). In fact, Vanilla Forest 1 and 2 are also modified versions of the first 2 levels from that hack.

Don't forget about some lack of usage of asm codes, because you're working on it using Winlator. Hot Sauce helped you insert codes for HDMA gradients, so if possible, ask him again.

Regarding HDMA, I'm now going to insert one code at a time, to avoid UberASM Tool from crashing. This is being done so that the screenshots don't end up having no HDMA.

The 4th level (with the sleepy enemies) also has a parallax scrolling effect. Again, thanks to KaidenThelens for making the code for me.
