If you go to my blog, you should know by now what Xka Shack is. If not... well... I guess I'll have to explain.
Xka Shack is a hack I've been mentioning a lot on my blog and IRC. It's unique in the way that my only tool for making it is xkas. The only thing I'm allowed to do is adding ASM code. Nothing else. So, in order to create levels, I had to rewrite the level loading routine and make it load from hardcoded level data.
The final version of Xka Shack will be released as an .asm file, not an .ips in order to allow people to verify my claim that it's 100% ASM. However, for the demo, I'll stick to .ips instead.
You might be asking "Where are the screenshots?". Well, if you've read my blog, you should know what to expect anyway. Besides, taking screenshots would spoil a new feature that I haven't announced yet.
Anyway. You can download it here.
(Yes, it's a large file. You'd be surprised at how much space hardcoded level data actually requires. O_o )
