This has been... uh... 14 years, right? Well, people have been using Skype for years since it was launched, but now with Microsoft Teams finally breaking the cover, people are switching to it. From my point of view, the Teams app looks vaguely like a souped-up version of Skype we all know and what we love.

So... have you been using Skype for years now? You tell us.

But why did you just post this in the General Discussion subforum?

I'm putting this here so it does not distract with the Computers & Technology subforum above. Sounds like FREAKY FRIDAY to me, though!

I never used Skype. But those noises and call sounds are sorta nostalgic for me. Maybe this announcement will give the SMWC team the encouragement it needs to finally get rid of the Skype field in the Contact section of people's profiles.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven..............motherfuckerrrrrr!

Not sure what this has got do do with anything. I moved this to said subforum, it fits better there.

But yeah, Skype was on the fast track for being closed on a while now. It just doesn't compare to modern apps. Teams is clunky as shit, but at least it works fine... most times.

I guess since Skype died, Destiny has disappeared since then.

And Skype is officially DEAD for realsies just last yesterday (May 5th).
