I want to make it so when you hit the switch palace, you continue the level, but the switch blocks are activated. I found this

You have to make custom blocks which activate the switch flag ($1F27), but do not end the level.
I set up some fake hdma, and it looks fine until the message box appears on c5. See the bottom? How do i fix it?

try moving the gradient up or down a bit, but seriously, how does fake hdma do that?
The lighest shade of the gradent connecting to the back area color inside the message box caused it, so I moved it 1 space down, thanks.
@Boometh - The Lakitu Cloud is actually the Puff Clouds in GFX00 just repeated in a way that it'll be a cloud

@ exor5445: You get that cutoff because you've disabled the New GFX engie in ZSNES. If you enable it by pressing 8 (in my case) it will remove that cutoff, but you'll get a solid colored line at the bottom of the screen. The choise is yours, I personaly prefer to have it disabled.
Edit: Nevermind, found the solution.
Another question though: how do I make it so you only need to collect 3 dragon coins instead of 5 for an extra life?
And how to have different screen exits in the same screen? I've seen it done a few times.

Possible? Yes. Easy? No. You would need a very high amount of ASM knowledge to pull that off. So unless you have that (which, no offense, is unlikely), you'll have to work around it using clever submap manipulation.

I have two Yoshi´s houses in my OW, and I wonder if you can change the colors of one without affecting the other.
Open the 8x8 tile editor on the overworld and paste the different color yoshi house on an unused level tile like one of these 2 level tiles since there are the other ones.
