Tip: If you're using the wall-running purple triangles in your hack, remember to add tile 1EB (or a tile that acts like tile 1EB) underneath it. Extended object 44/45 will include this tile for you.Not logged in.

rather than a "spot" for more user IDs, it'd be nice to make it possible to separate user IDs with commas (unless that's what you mean), the shouldn't be all that complicated, it would be something along the lines of:
Code
if (authorfieldcontainsonlycommasandspacesandnumbers) {
 $authorfield = str_replace(" ", "", $authorfield);
 $userids = explode(",", $authorfield);
 foreach ($userids) {
  whatever
 }
}
I'm sorry if this has already been said but maybe there could be a "Problem Solved" checkbox and the staff have access to a "Problem Solved" tab which they can see threads which have the problem solved, so they can close them quicker.Free counters!

Or you could just change the thread title to "LOCK PLZ" or "PROBLEM SOLVED".

It'd be pretty unfair to get special colors just because you spam a lot.

Oh yeah, feature suggestions:
- A ban list. It's annoying not to know why you have a ban. I know some mods post the reason why the ban has taken place but not all do.

That's all, folks!

Where? Either I'm blind or it's hidden from my view because I'm so fear-inducing.

You don't have access to it.
Maybe as a solution to that problem, mods should PM a user the reason why they banned them when they do it.

That's why I want a ban list. A public one. I can't even understand why it's admin/moderator-only.

Probably the same reason that online users page is only accessible by them. (wait, is it still accessible by you guys or is it just gone completely?)
Same with the top secret forum.
And for admins only, the deep geological repository.
But I digress...

--------------------
I really only PM users the reason for an avatar or layout removal, bans aren't my priority when it comes to PMs, since I usually post a reason in the thread they did their offense in. If a user seriously cannot figure out why they were banned after looking through their recent posts and anything they did in the last day or two, then they can easily PM a moderator or something to check it out. The bans thread we have sometimes creates discussion and it's better if we keep it secretive for that reason, as we do with the TSA.

Of course, if we change some of that, we might be able to make a public thread, but for now you just have to live with it being only for the staff's eyes.

Lock the thread and ban anyone who discusses about the bans. Duh.

Look, stop nagging about a public ban thread. No one up to this point cared for a public ban thread since they knew why they got it, plus most staff either PM the user or explain why in a post (which is what, something every staff member does?) and the one we have in the staff forums is perfectly fine as it is. We don't need to make one for users because they don't have enough brainpower to figure out why they were banned or use the "Show Posts" button at the bottom of their profile to check out their recent posts for an explanation.

If anything, a public ban thread will encourage other users to make fun of the stupid people.

This is the part were we forget all about this idea and move on
I don't know if this has been said before, but I don't want to waste a whole day reading this thread. I think a "Profile Views" system would be nice, like finding out how many times your profile has been viewed.
This isn't a dating site. :P
There are counters that you can get from websites that you can put in your profile.

Oh also,
Considering we can view hacks by date, title, rating, etc. Why don't we add difficulty to that list. The options to choose from would be basic and blunt, "easy, medium, or hard." Or being able to choose two or three, in that case it would show up as "Difficulty: Medium-Hard"
Hm?

--------------------
a instant messaging system would be great. and a search bar so you could find the names of custom music, sprites and exgfx.

I might think of more. (im not that greedy)

--------------------
Finally decided to actully work on a hack. I haven't thought of a name for it yet, and I'm only done 45%.

Use CTRL-F. Or if you prefer something more advanced, use the search bar in the upper left, below the Registered Users thingy (assuming you're using the SMW Central - Menu to the right scheme).

<blm> zsnes users are the flatearthers of emulation
I'm pretty sure some of these has been posted before, but I'll post all I can come up with...

Buttons:
-Delete your own thread if problem is solved etc.
-Delete your own account (So the admins/mods will have atlest one less thing to bother with when people are leaving the site).

A ''Online SPC player'' so we can listen to the custom music before downloading it.

An expanded rating sysem so people can rate other stuff than hacks. Like ExGFX, Sprites, Custom Music etc.

An auto message for new users which tells them how it works on the site with the rules etc... (Dunno if this has already been done)

A ''Education forum'' where people who struggle with a school project or something like that can get help from other users. Yeah, I already know about google >_>

--------------------
Everyone wants an online spc player, but it's probably not going to happen.
Another suggestion of mine would be that when you choose an avatar larger than 120x120, the image is brought down to 120x120 on the site. Youtube does that and I thought that would get rid of people who give themselves 9001x9001 avatars.
