The title screen is junk, and Mario immediately falls and dies as soon as the game starts. Game Over screen, no way to continue. If you're fast, you can hit start before Mario dies and start the game up. All the levels on the map are revealed when you start, and you can enter the first or second level. The second one leads to an endless bonus game. The first one is an actual level, however:
This door leads to another endless bonus game. Moral of the story? Make sure your exits lead somewhere.
Removal: "Super Mario World: Dark Mind's Wrath"
Reason: Here's a screenshot of level 1:
The rest of the levels aren't any better. Most are the same thing: you get a bunch of stars and kill lag-inducing amounts of Cheep-Cheeps, Chargin' Chucks, and what-not.
Special thanks to The Kins and the Something Awful goons for bringing this to my attention!
tbbe5's "Uper World" has been deleted because the game froze on the "Mario Start" screen once you tried to enter the first level. Make sure that patches are created using clean ROMs.
MegaGames' (formerly Ausem Games) "Three Fun Levels" has been deleted. They weren't fun a year ago, and they're still not fun now. Obvious 105 and 106 edits plus a sky level with nothing but swing lifts and cement blocks. We're looking for something with a little more substance, guys.
Why: The person who actually made this doesn't go here, so whatever. But, have you ever played those SMB hacks that have invisible blocks stop your jumps, force you to react as soon as the level begins, and are incredibly, stupidly hard? Yeah, this hack is just like that except it's SMW. No freaking thanks.

This game is basically SMW without the fun. Enemies are nonexistent in places, levels are barely modified, palette choices are horrible, there are Yoshi Coins on borders, shoddily modified graphics and Mario's palette is crap. It's not fun at all. The title screen colors are even messed up and he didn't even do anything to it other than add a couple letters.
Removal; SMW: Alter Code "R"emake
Credit: FirePhoenix0
Reason; This one has glitched graphics, cheap tricks, fluxuating difficulty curve and more. Not fun. One level has you flying blind across the whole level.
Level 105 edit with different palettes.
If you win, you die. You have to fly off the top of the screen and over the goal to find the real exit.
Removal; Super Mario in Learning Land
Credit: FirePhoenix0
Reason; You might as well call this one Super Mario Bros 1+3, because that's about what it is. Only 4 of the 9 levels are original levels. The rest are remakes of SMB1 and SMB3 levels. And they're not even good remakes. Add bad graphic modifications (why does Bowser command pill and cigarette forces?), extremely short levels, and one instance of background garbage in level 3.
Reason: This one is barely different from SMW. Obvious level remakes are the killer here. If I wanted to play SMW I'd have played it on my TV on a real SNES, not through a crappy hack of it. Level design has no problems other than the fact that Ctrl+Del was not used at all.
Level 105 edit + too many easy moons.
Wrong Monty Mole sprite plus all the moving coins create huge lag.
