Super Mario Land 3 Remix will be a base hack comprising of all the levels of the Gameboy Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land game as well as a few others. This will allow others to use my hack as a basis for their own work.
My latest update was for the Syrup Castle exterior gfx:
Glad this hack is still being worked on, I missed your updates so much!
The graphics are looking awesome, as usual - your cartoonish graphics really make me smile, they're really well made. Since you posted only one screen of what you have been up to, I cannot say so much, so... well, keep up the good work - I'm looking forward to seeing more from this hack. ;)
i like the graphics (there is a one ExGFX in the respective section)
the one thing that i don't like is that is a remake: i didn't have never a love for remake hacks :\
(but knowing that this hack will be used as a base hack makes me glad)
how do you do the pirate Syrup? as beautyful as Samus? XD
This hack looks like a feature hack in my opinion!
The graphics are amazing and the idea's of the goal room and the other stuff you added are impressive. This is on my must play when hack comes out list. ;D
This is looking great dude. The hack's becoming awesomer every time you update.
Good job with this hack. I hope a demo's out soon, but don't rush it if your not almost done, take your time, that way the hack'll be greater then if you rushed. ;)
Anyway, good hack.
Need to know what you all think looks best. Having some trouble deciding on a palette scheme for Sherbert Island. Below are the four options available, pick one or none if you don't think any suit the level...
1st Place: Screenshot 1- It's not too bright, not too dull.
2nd Place: Screenshot 4- It was a bit too bright, but it almost came in 1st place.
3rd Place: Screenshot 3- Eh, I can't tell if that's blue or purple, but either way, I don't think it matches the snow very well...
Last Place: Screenshot 2- It may symbolize snowy rocks, but I just don't think it'll fit the frozen style too good... Plus, white along red/brown kinda clash a bit.
Thanks guys. Number 4 it is then! And yeah now I look at the second it does look off to me, kinda like coconuts! :S Right so now I return with another image:
Changed the palette slightly and added some of my other level elements to see how well it fits together. But while I am pleased I would like to hear what you all think? Tomorrow I will go onto starting the background for the level.
