This is a basic sprite I`m working on as the first enemy in my hack: Ultra Luigi RPG.
Ignore the pallatte, it`s still beta, but does suit the darker side of my hack...
I call him KOOPA GRUNT, he has a little less HP than a Terrapin, but far greater physical defense and attack.
This is a move I`m working on, called Velder Lasê... It`s a water based attack that has a 30% chance of mute.
Good? Bad?

Dimentio - Nice, I see you've tooken use to the unused inside forest battle arena, but you've tooken out the windows and other weird stuff it looks like. The enemy looks nice as well. The Velder Lase is a nice moe looks like, what other moves does it know? =D
nice job also Delmaru, the room looks nice so far, not that great, still nice though.
I'll post pics of my Koopa Troopa once I get it ready, it'll be replaceing the Terrapin, it'll have a green or red shell(probaly green), and have only two attacks, bite and punching attack like the Terrapin, I have the GFX for it right now, now to put it to use. ;)
Edit: Dimentio, if that's not the unused forest battle arena you can use only by using cheats, my bad, kinda looks like it.
The boss counters all elements used by means of Specials and Items. (Since just having him counter elements, period, makes him counter again with the last code he countered with...)
(It honestly looks like he's about to counter, but in actuality, he's about to use one of his attacks on his turn. He either whacks you up close or uses Va Va Voom- which is what he used here. But he doesn't just do that...)
As far as I know, no enemy has a Jump-element spell, so instead of countering with one, Element Mage counters with one of 3 spells- Electroshock, Willy Wisp, or Sand Storm.
By the way, Mallow never took damage from any Fire attacks during this run. Why's that? I made 3 items that will help you out by nullifying one element each- Flame Band, Blizzard Ring, and Zap Emblem. They nullify what their names would make you assume- Flame Band nullifies Fire damage, Blizzard Ring nullifies Ice, Zap Emblem nullifies Thunder. Mallow has Flame Band equipped here.
You get a different set of 3 possible spells depending on how much you attack him...
Hitting him with an element raises the attack counter by 2. Attacking any other way increases it by just 1.
Below 8, you get Crystal, Flame, and Bolt. Nothing to worry about, right?
At 8 and above, you get Mega Drain, Petal Blast, and Water Blast. Petal Blast is especially dangerous if no one is protected from becoming Mushrooms! So beware!
Don't go to 14 and above, or you get Aurora Flash. Without a Wake Up Pin or anything to protect you from Sleep, you're pretty much in a VERY VERY VERY bad position. Trust me, at the stats everyone's at in this test, it does over 100 damage to Mario...
His attacks change when you get him below 2000 HP!! How, he'll either whack you with his wand, use Va Va Voom, or use Pierce, which, sadly, does HEAVY damage if not guarded. (I think. It did last time.)
Yeah... Don't bother with the Amplifiers. They have 512 HP, but when you destroy them... Element Mage just summons them again and uses Meteor Blast. (Maybe I should be more evil and increase his attack counter by 8? Muahaha... Nah.)
That looks quite awesome, pikaguy900! Like Geno_4_Ever said, it must have taken some work.
Maybe I'll join the hacking and post a screenshot later, but, not now, I can't understand anything yet. Oh well, I didn't understand Lunar Magic at first, so, I'll probably understand Lazy Shell...someday...somehow...
I've been working on a boss for SMRPG lately, and he's FINALLY done.
...
And that's it~
That boss strikes me as not only hard, just just downright EVIL. Your party was at a pretty high level when you were testing this (didn't know Geno could hit the HP cap), and it still sounds like you took a beating.
Although, you can raise the level caps, and bosses in SMRPG were pretty easy, I'd say. Personally, I'd like to see attacks have elements that are explicitly defined.

Actually, everyone was at their starting levels with altered starting stats because I don't know how late in the game I want to make this. Don't worry, it's not evil, trust me. High Damage and Taking A Lot of Damage != Evil. If it was, then every boss, including Smithy and Culex, would be evil. (Culex is just annoying, but not evil.)
Also, you DO realize that I can edit its stats at any time to accomodate the location it's being put in, right? >_>

This is actually a Mini-boss fight with General Boo (looks like a normal Big Boo, but see the HP, and has the Culex music)

Actually making a custom boss is pretty simple and easy. But creating a new sprite... Actually he's the 6th star boss.
Trelic, that's very cool. You beat me at SMRPG hacking. X_X Anyway, The attack frame of Geno as an opponent is pretty clever, yet kinda weird and funny. :3 What level is he/how much HP does he have? Nice job.
In honesty, the Geno thing was nothing at all. He is basically just a Geno Clone sprite, but edited to have those two attacks, which are both just renames of others. The main focus of the video was mostly a small attempt at Events.

Technically they are evil, but I see what you're drivin' at.

That's pretty clever. Just throwing this out there, can't you use Geno's actual attack animations, or would it look wrong/is that not possible?
