Tip: When you're about to release your hack, make a patch first, patch it to a clean ROM, and then test that. This way, you are testing both the hack AND the patch.

my level, Big Boo's Haunt[url=http://bin.smwcentral.net/608]
I think I'm the only one who did the ghost house...

--------------------
Bridget's got the kids!
Bring me Bridget, or I'll blow us all to hell!
I did a Ghost House as well. :)
So when do we get the results?

--------------------
Your layout has been removed.
Well, half of my level was a ghost house.

@ MGH: You'll get it when you get it.
Wow...it seems that us judges are going to have a lot to judge! D:

Good luck to all of you, and make sure your level COMPLETELY works and has no GRAPHIC errors. (Just a hint ;)

Good luck again.

A week after the deadline, I think.

Anyways, I have finished my level: 3 Trials

3 trials, 16 sections making them up, 4 exits per trial for a grand total of 12, all crammed into a single level.

Have fun! I also included the location of every exit incase the judges can't find them all (or if they are rushed by their week deadline, since I have no idea how they can complete all of our levels so fast).

It may be a tad harder than most of the other levels, but I'm sure everyone will get to the fist "normal" exit.

Also, can we upload our levels to the Hacks section after this contest? I'm pretty sure mine and most of the others are long enough.

Sorry, about making a new thread. I was trying to post it here, and it accidentally sent 3 times. You can close those threads and leave it here.

FirePhoenix,
Is it all right if I reuploaded my IPS patch?
All I did was reversed some tiles and copied them and pasted them over the 3-up moon using Lunar Magic. I didn't use ExGFX.

Mystical P-switches

Let me know when you get a chance to try it.

Thanks,

Luis

Here is my phase. I prefer to call them phases rather than levels. I've titled it "Failure of an Epic", because of its length and variety of themes.
Here is my level:
Shaded Region

I made it quickly so it is kind of short.

Just a little polishing before judgment day (it awaits us all. Good luck to all participants)

Well, I finished my level. It's called Tumblerock Mountain. I didn't know if it had to be submitted as a zip file, but I put it in a zip file anyway.
Hailstorm's submission puts us at 50 submissions with one whole day remaining. Looks like we'll have even more submissions than last year!1

151 submissions
Wow. Are we expecting the judging time to be extended? That is a LOT of hacks to review.

Especially since so many of them are long this time. I know mine's huge - at least 5 times the overall size of my submission last year.

Anyway though, at least the extension was convenient, as it let me go and do all the testing and palette editing that I wanted. The only thing I have left to do is to have a few friends test it for me tomorrow afternoon and it'll be ready for submission.

Regardless, I'm very satisfied with the way my level's turned out, and am really glad I was able to get a few people here to test it. It's always nice to be able to look at what others think instead of just relying in solo testing. I ripped apart and gutted many old levels for ideas for this, and with their help was able to fine-tune some of its issues.

Best of luck to everyone, and the few stages I have played have been spectacular.
I wish everyone a ton of good luck. This is the last day, the day where it ends! We shall play each others levels and... do something.

Anyhow, I also wish good luck to the judges. They have a lot to do, and I'm sure some levels are longer than expected. I would play the levels now, but I'll first have to re-download my clean ROM.

I'm really satisfied with my work. It was the first time I did a Ghost House, and I think it went quite well. I hope everyone has fun playing it.

Also, before anything, I would like to thank people who gave me feedback in the screenshots and video thread, when I showed them my work on this.

Amazing contest this has been, and I look forward to the results. Let's see how everyone does.

There goes me.
It's the last day everyone!

Just a reminder...

MAKE SURE YOUR LEVEL IS SUBMITTED TO THE FILE BIN AND THE LINK HAS BEEN POSTED IN THIS THREAD BY 11:59 PM EST TIME! WE WILL ACCEPT NONE AFTERWARDS. (Unless it was submitted to the file bin before 11:59.)</b>

Thanks, and good luck to everyone.

Not sure why everyone would submit long levels, unless they're constantly changing gameplay gimmicks they'll probably get rather boring.

I just decided to put together a quick little 500 romp through a level full of gimmicks and clever enemy placement.

But hey, best of luck to everyone. I can't wait to see the results of this.

I made a standalone game once, look for Seabug Stampede on Google Play.
