Has anyone done a breakdown of which boss battle levels are which? I was scrolling through the levels, and here is what I have, without having researched more:
093 Lemmy Koopa boss battle
094 Wendy O. Koopa boss battle
095-09B red screen boss battle
193 Wendy O. Koopa boss battle
194 Lemmy Koopa boss battle
1DE red screen boss battle
1EB red screen boss battle
1F2 Lemmy Koopa boss battle
1F6 red screen boss battle
Obviously, Lemmy and Wendy at least get repeated several times, and there appear to be more boss battles than actual bosses. So, which levels are the "real ones" that the game actual uses?
Oh, okay. I forgot about Reznor. I am at work now, so I can't check, but I think you can actually view Big Boo's boss battle screen, as well (just like Lemmy/Wendy).
I am wanting to add auto-loading text messages at the beginning of some boss levels, so that is why I am trying to figure out which bosses (Koopalings, specifically) go with which level. I will be able to probably find out by trial and error, but if anyone already has this information and could share it, that would be great.
Anyways, Level E4 is the Big Boo Boss. They said Level 13 is the area.

Is it safe to edit the levels that are not tied to their castle's boss doors?
(I guess there are duplicates because there's also that hidden boss test room in the rom. I haven't checked, but I wouldn't be surprised if this room leads to all the duplicates instead of the "real" ones.)
Why does a two-month bump equal fail? This was still a valid question, it wasn't really answered the first time around, and I didn't want to start a new thread on the same topic. This way, hopefully if someone else has this same question, this thread serves as a data repository rather than being one of three or more threads on the same topic.
Thanks, FPI, for answering the question. I didn't know there was a boss testing level. Where is that? I've never come across it while going through the ROM. Does it have links to all the boss rooms?
Buu Huu - This is on a clean ROM. SMW just has duplicate boss levels for all the Koopalings, apparently.
Does anyone know what sprites can be added to which boss battles? It's such a trial-and-error process; it would be nice to document which sprites can be added to which.
From personal experience, I know that virtually nothing can be added to Morton's boss battle (I would imagine this would include Roy, too). Anything added just glitches up the background GFX and doesn't appear.
I've heard of people putting Bullet Bills and extra Podobos into boss battles, but where do those actually work?
