Yeah, I read the readme. (Which means I'll upload the levels you'll allow me to upload (While still TAS'ing the ones I'm not allowed to upload yet, then upload those after you did :P))

Well, seeing as doublegrabbing is quite easy I doubt it would be too hard. The spinjump at the end of level 30 (fast auto-scroll level) would be a bit harder but I've made that with a regular jump before. Also if you use the same path for the rest of the levels I don't even think the input needs to be changed too much, just hold the grab button.

Anyways, nice TAS! I'm looking forward to see how much time you can shave off of my harder levels (perhaps you can send me the video of Yellow Switch Palace without uploading it?).

Fun fact; every 'run-like-hell' section started with at least 30 seconds more time, after which I found multiple new paths/breaks reducing the timer.

Doublegrabbing (With shell): It would take longer to get it there at the start (first minute of the vid or something), and the fence-fastautoscroll would give problems too, I guess. (And that last jump there, but you already said it was possible. :P)

When I finished it, I'll probably send you the video if you want it, yeah. :P

Fun fact; Awesome. Now I have to find those breaks too.

Ah, of course. The fencing. It might be possible if you let go of the shell the frame before you grab the fence, and grab it a few frames after (while jumping up). Shells have a large hitbox.
Also it takes around 5 seconds in your TAS to get through the note blocks, which can be reduced to approximately 1 with that glitch. I doubt it would take 4 seconds to bring the shell.

Ah well, there's no point going through the trouble of making a new TAS for a break like this.

Now that I (stupidly) gave the shell so much attention I might just as well tell you my largest fear in my hack; 'Blue Pow' can be used as a mushroom farm. I hope nobody will use this in a TAS, and all of my important levels cannot be broken by farming some shrooms. However, if you play without slowdown/frame advance and are stuck on one of the easier levels feel free to use it XD

Yeah, shells have a large hitbox. But also remember that you can't re-grab an item for a short time after you let it go.

Also, @mushroomfarminginTAS, If you can't save a minute (or something) with the break, it's not worth it.

Hmm, true. I was worried players might choose the easy way out of a puzzle by using more mushrooms than intended, but I guess that would cost a lot of time on a TAS.

sure. 1/1 swimming involves turning around every frame, this way you will swim faster than while holding right.
6/5 running involves holding the right button for 6 frames after you gain full momentum, then letting go for 5 frames (hold 'run') and then pressing it for 6 frames again etc. This will increase your speed to something higher than full running speed.
The hopping glitch is performed by jumping on the frame you hit the ground (keep in mind; there is a 4 frame input delay), this will make you keep mario's horizontal speed in air which is higher than that while running.



can i combine 6/5 running with the hopping glitch?
also on my keyboard i can only press 3 keys at a time so if i am holding right and hold item and jump i can't press frame advance :(

anyway to avoid this?
Yes, you can combine those two glitches. You can get some momentum with 6/5 running and jump in the air, then use the hopping glitch to maintain that speed.

Also I wouldn't know, I have the same problem with slowdown, a direction, jump and grab.

hey, this is at the guy who created red and black... sorry, i dont know who it is... but anyways, can i use agent black in my hack? i wanna make a kaizo hack that is really like urs, but it will be called "Black and White"

I was actually going to make it Black and White in the first place, but the inability to see where I was putting sprites was annoying, so I changed it after watching a 'What the Hell?' video from raocow. (Yes, that's what ultimately inspired me to make Black and Red)

I'd just like to ask what would be harder to keep and double grab with other items throughout the stage?

I find that springs are harder to double-grab.

The shell is easiest, spring is hardest and key second hardest in my opinion. Pow is somewhere in the middle.

double-grabbing any is no problem for me, using the method i always use. so i can't judge on what is the easiest/hardest.
