Hmm... odd. This hack could go either way, replace some graphics and this level would be suitable for a 'regular' hack or add a small trap and this would be suitable for a Kaizo hack.

It isn't much harder than a lot of regular hacks, but then again some Kaizo hacks are not either. Will this hack be 'the limit' for something being Kaizo? Or will you be expecting much harder hacks, Ulti?

Or is Kaizo not being measured in hardness (well, it shouldn't be. But it's very convenient to use as measurement in a lot of cases)?

Well, while it sounds harsh, fun world is the sort of hack that has no room to exist. It's completely unfair and annoying (it replaces the unfair with even more annoying from the second stage on), but not really Kaizo either.

Actually, to make it "Kaizo", Snake X would have to replace a lot of the levels, seeing as how barely edited SMW levels aren't that hard. Yes, the first level is on the verge of Kaizo and non-Kaizo, but the rest's just flat out lazy.

Also, that pipe that was jumped over in the TAS leads to another room, which is the only truely hard area in the hack. Stupid random control reversals.

That sounds like Kaizo is meant to be unfair. Kaizo is meant to be challenging, and fun. Some hacks are hard and unfair, but those are not Kaizo.

ok and how is it unfair and annoying... to me it seemed straight forward as SD said, a little tweaking and it could become a good hack.

Pretty much every decent multi-leveled Kaizo hack gets across the message that the hack is Kaizo with quite apparent difficulty in the first level. That is, it is clearly identifiable as "Kaizo", not wishy-washy like this is.

@ hyphen - hey, in ur red and black, how did you make mario's hands black, in the pallete editor, the color is asm encrypted or sumthin. How do u edit those colors?
