Since this is partially a TAS thread, I made a TAS of the secret exit in Dots's entry for the vanilla contest.

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ldorh4zapeA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ldorh4zapeA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

comments, I guess?

Nice, Zild! I like how you found a way to gain speed throughout that half of the level. I tried to make it so you couldn't, but there always seems to be a workaround. :P
Zildjian, you never cease to impress. It's a shame you didn't use SUPER EPIC GOD powers again, though.
Good TAS, great as always :D
But you'll have to be better to beat my hack...
I mean like Sadistic Designer level-breaking good.

After testing what I currently have of my new hack, I've discovered you CAN break it easily. If you can walljump more than once on the SAME wall, you can beat the game. There are probably WAAAY more ways it could be broken (I'll leave that to Sadistic Designer, I'll let him have his fun...), but as far as I can see, it's pretty good. I think I've FINALLY made my own Kaizo trap, too! :D
And a bonus to anyone brave (and stupid, and masochistic) enough to play my hack, I actually CAN put something of a story into it, but it sucks, in my eyes.
Hello. This is my first post in the Kaizo page. I was wondering which hack I should start with. I can barely perform any glitch, so one that don't require those would be great. The only reason I'm doing this is becuase I would like to make my own Kaizo hack one day, but I'm not ready anytime soon.
So I finally got around to making a demo patch for my hack, Insane Sanity.
Patch
The best part of basing it off my main hack is that I get to abuse custom blocks <:

Go to speedyshare.com. Upload your file. Then, click on the download link and it will take you to yet another page that has your file's link. Finally, if you're in Firefox or IE, right-click the link, click "properties", copy the URL, and link to it. If you're using Google Chrome, right click it and click "copy link address" and link to it. And then you're done!

I decided that I might as well add Epic Jumpman Land...
Good fucking bye.

Well, congrats on choosing the greater path of KAIZO-ism (now I'm making up words), so to start you off, I reccomend either the actual Kaizo Mario World, or House of Fun. And, if you want to make hacks, users Sadistic Designer and *cough* myself could teach you :D

Again, Epic Jumpman Land is completely neglected. But you just wait, C.R.A.P. will RULE THIS PUNY THREAD!
Thank you, MMAT. I am happy to get a nice welcoming. I'll start with the Kaizo Mario World, then play House of Fun. I hope to make a Kaizo hack real soon, but I have a Hack I'm working on at the moment. I think I'll play it now.

If it works for me, then it will. I'm debating whether or not Epic Jumpman Land should go on the list... =/

Well, you're welcome :D
I like being nice, in general (irony, irony). To let you know, House of Fun is pretty hard, I've yet to complete it. About your future Kaizo hack, I reccomend abusing castle levels, because it's graphic set allows you to use spikes, which look much better on walls and ceillings than munchers.

I have no flipping clue on how it wouldn't necisarrily work for you, and I am too lazy to download multiple emulators to test more. If by "work for me" you mean it being an actually decent hack, then yes, the Chasm of Remarkably Agonizing Perils will be good. I mean, come on, where can you go wrong with spamming death blocks and using YY-CHR?
Also, about EJL, it doesn't matter if THAT doesn't get on the list, I personally hate it now :P
C.R.A.P. is much better, and I want it to be on the list because it is my finest work of all time.
It might for some stupid reason have to do with the fact that I use a Mac, and there's probably minor differences between Mac and Windows ZSNES, but eh... If CRAP doesn't work, I'm throwing this computer out of a window. Not really, my father would kill me if I did that, but you get my point. (Or it could have to do with the VERSION of the emulator, which emulator and which version of it are you using?)
Good fucking bye.

Okay, I'll be down to the letter specific. I use ZSNES v1.51, Jan. 24 2007, Windows version. If it has to do with my COMPUTER somehow, I use an HP with Windows XP.
Also, there could be a major problem in the emulator. After studying over it's site, ZSNES doesn't have an official version for MAC. If you go to it's site, you can see it only has downloads for "Win", "DOS", and "Linux". Therefore... the cake (or in this case, the emulator) is a LIE. CURSE YOU, PORTAL!
So, yeah. Try to get a new computer. I reccomend HP's and HP Mini's. I think they run of Windows 7 now, so you might need to get one with XP, in case ZSNES doesn't work on ALL versions of Windows.
Good luck sorting out a complicated, complicated plan to get a new computer. If not, then simply fake your computer crashing several thousand times. To work this out, use this site. You don't need to worry about a REAL problem, it's just a GIF :D
Actually, I'm gonna redownload Snes9x to see if it works on that, but it probably won't. (By the way, I'm 15 and can't just ask my parents to get me a new computer.)

Edit: IT'S THE EMULATOR. I JUST GOT A NEW VERSION OF SNES9X, AND IT WORKS FINE.
Good fucking bye.
I think I may hate myself. I just played the first level of Kaizo, beat it, all in about 5 mins. The strange thing is I enjoyed it. I don't understand it. How could I like it. I thought I would hate it.

Well, people may say it's annoying, but it can be fun depending on what kind of gamer you are. For example, if you like simplicity, you won't like most puzzle hacks; If you like easy levels, you won't like Kaizo hacks; etcetera.

Also, wow, only 5 minutes? Was this your first try? If so, congrats.
Yes it was my first try. The only jumps that held me too long was the Bullet Bill over the long Chasm and the Paranha Spin Jump through the munchers.

EDIT: I just beat the Switch Palace. The only really difficalt part was the Spin Jump on the Ball and Chain. Once I made it past that the Muncher Jump just happened.
