making giant land bricks - stunning sprites help

I am in the process of making some giant land SMB3 bricks, but I have run into one problem: I can't seem to figure out what routine to call or what ram addresses I have to write to in order to get this effect. Here's a video with the problem:
<embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://i3.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid3.photobucket.com/albums/y74/%73mw%65dit/bigbrick.flv"></embed>
If that video won't load, here's a link: LINK

Notice what happens to the sprites when they are above the bricks in BMF's breakable bricks patch while the bricks are being hit, but not when the big bricks [I am making] are hit, that's what I need to know how to do. It is also the same thing when the sprites are hit with the cape.

I've also searched this site for the answer, but I have not found a result.

p.s. note that the last part of the video is just showing off what I have already done and is not really what the problem is.

EDIT: other comments, suggestions, and questions [about this] are welcome.
Hmm, about my only guess is that there are two blocks of space between Mario and the giant smashable bricks, there have to be only one normally, but I think I remember the possibility of knocking enemies off the giant smashable bricks in SMB3, unfortunately, I have no time to look right now.

But in any case, looking forward to seeing these released.
I already know about the space between the block being hit and the sprites. That will be compensated for by subtracting #$10 (16) from the Y position of the block in the RAM address that I will need to use to specify the block's position
i got a question.. when can you release these? because they look awsome and i need them for my giant land (so does many other people)

so yerh release date plz?
well, seeing that I'm not getting any response to the question, all I can say is that it won't be soon, since nobody here knows how to do this small, minor part of the code.
I guess that if you understood how to make the normal SMB3 brick (probably so if you made a bigger one), you could look at the code yourself and manually find the code that does that...?
Your layout has been removed.
I didn't base it on the old one at all, I just knew how a few things can
be done.
No, what I meant was that if you go and disassemble the original one, you may be able to find the routine that does that.
