It's been a long time since I've made a game (You know how much you love them), so here it is: The Archive.

OBJECTIVE

I will give you a short description of a famous person in history. You must guess his/her name. If you get it right, you get a point. Get it wrong, get no points.

We'll be safe and start with 30 historic figures. Should provide a decent challenge

Also, through playing this game, you should grow smarter, and develop a small appreciation for history.

FORMAT

(TEXT IN BLUE)
"He once chopped down a cherry tree"

And, if you get it right, I type the text in red
George Washington

I'll discuss a prize later. I might make a badge, and pester an admin to upload it. I might even throw in a rare e-book...

READY?
GO!

Oh god. I should know this one...I studied in-depth U.S. history, and I know it's from that...
Thomas Jefferson?

EDIT: What are the rules about researching it? :p I didn't on this question, but it's a good possibility.

CORRECT

On research, feel free. The later questions will be near impossible to attain via research. Research at will.

(Tricky without "research")

"When I despair, I remember that all through history the way of truth and love has always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they seem invincible, but in the end, they always fall — think of it, always."

Gandhi Mahatma

Heh, I think I remember hearing of him.

STILL UP FOR GRABS. ANSWER!

--------------------
I guess no one wants the prize, or a Badge.

Last call for an answer. It's two posts up.

If left for another week, I'll have the thread trashed.

EDIT: Got a PM from PyroX for a potential answer.

It is not Alexander VI or IV.

HINT: "The Pope's SON".

Research if you must.

If you cant get it, I will tell the answer, no points, and we move to another figure. (Told ya the game was tricky. =p)

--------------------
I've honestly no idea. Didn't even knew he had a son

--------------------
I'm not the star of the show but I try to be.
Currently making a SMW rom hack with 7 worlds. Hope to finish it soon.

Hint posted in edit above

Think. ;) Research. Use the hint.
John XI??

--------------------
Look at this 8 year-old layout that I should probably update.
Would it be Paul III? (I just googled the popes son and it popped up)
None of them. Game still going.

Look few posts back for guesses.
