I submitted a .zip containing both my version of it and the one I let Troopa Pride revise, since it was his request to begin with, and like with all requests, I let the person sample it and tweak it if they aren't happy before I submit it, and I ask if they want it kept private.

See if mine's any better. But, I must warn you - I couldn't get the bass line in. It was clunky, gross, big, completely off, almost unnoticable, and if you listened closely enough to hear it, it was pure yuck and ruined the song, and it would have to go into a channel that overwrites it anyways. We used vastly different instruments.

If both mine and our collaboration are unsuccessful, we'll use a different Yogurt Yard MIDI along with the one we had in order to see if we can find some significant differences. Remember, I'm tone deaf, and I can't correct a melody on my own (see: my horrid SGTB conversion) but the notes that were in the SPC are EXACTLY the same as the MIDI's, except one octave lower in every spot.

I mind you, there are several incarnations of this song. The one we used was a little closer to the Avalanche version, but with the Adventure intro, so whoever made the MIDI sent it to VGMusic under Adventure. There are minor differences from version to version, including tempo, a few notes, octaves, instruments, and the bass and drum lines very different.

Not to be rude or anything, TLMB, but though your constructive criticism is useful and I appreciate it, you have a nasty attitude (selfish) and almost make me want to abort the song. Then YOU'LL have to work on it (or bug someone else for it) if you really want it so badly.

Look at other songs that don't sound just right that are here - Scrap Brain Zone, Ice Cap Zone, Lon Lon Ranch - just to name a few, but they're still appreciated for the effort put into them. Heck, I'm using Lon Lon Ranch in my hack, and I'm not changing a thing about it because I really like this song. I can guarantee you that MORE THAN HALF of these songs don't sound "just right" because humans aren't gods.

In fact, as the original author of the text and SPCs, I'd like to ask if you could please remove Yogurt Yard (all 3 of them waiting) from the list, please. It's going to be kept private. Thanks.
