I don't really like those graphics. The re-drawn Luigi and the blocks don't really match with the FG/BG graphics, but then that just might be me.

@A Yoshi: Once again, your main overworld is looking great. I really like the style of your overworld, and the graphics especially. Aren't you going to use YI OW graphics for your overworld though?

I'm not too fond of the Frostfire Cove submap though.. the mist in the fire area looks a bit ugly to me, I'd say lighten it a bit. The ice area doesn't look too frosty to me as well, but unless you are aiming for a dark atmosphere, it looks pretty good.

Hikari no Go: That looks very good, I especially like the brick graphics and mainly the feel to the level. The Grindel looks pretty nice too, is it a graphical edit of the Thwomp?

An underground forest? Interesting idea.... What would be cooler is if you could have rays of light on Layer 1 or something to explain how the forest has enough light to grow down there. Either way, very awesome, I'm loving these mixed SMW BGs.

EDIT: Looking again, I think it would be a good idea to desaturate the greens of the leaves a little more since it's underground and all.

No. It's a custom sprite based off mikeyk's Thwomp code. It would be way to hard to edit the thwomps graphics to look like a grindel. Even if I would have done it, it wouldn't have looked right.
@Dinomar: I didn't find any backgrouns that would go well with the cave one, but a forest seems like a nice idea. ;) Liking the palette as well, though the green could use some desaturating, as FP said.

Since my main computer is down, I couldn't do much with LAA. I do have a gimmick level that I finished the concept today.

Here is the gimmick:

It won't be p-switch in the final. It will be a torch that lights up the level. Only sounds will play at start and end.
