@7h14go: The level is nice, but like flopping Luigi said there are a few problems that need to be fix.

A new level. I know the mushroom palette is awful, I'll change it.
The goal for my hack is to be vanilla and still have aspects new to hacking, like:
1. The horizontal mushroom stems. Yes, these are vanilla, just inner-shroom stem tiles with line guide lines above/below 'em.
2. The cloud-shaped line guides.
3. The floating water. Just inner-water tiles with line guide lines above/below/sides.
Another great thing about this level is that all those custom things take up NO MAP16 space! Just original SMW tiles arranged thoughtfully.
The movie cuts off, but the level ended a screen or two afterwards.
Stop and read the annotations.

I'm sorry, but it just doesn't look good in general. I guess that's not very offensive coming from ME, but... it's just BAD. Problems:
-Bad Mario palette
-Mario palette doesn't match overworld one
-Bad Overworld(bland and repetitive
-Bad BG palette
-Repetitive level design(slopey and slanty)
-Use some tileset specific sprites! More sprites, too
-Come out of pipe one block too high
I hope I don't sound too harsh, fix those(which basically means START FROM SCRATCH AGAIN, sorry) use Map16 access with some good level design, and you'll be as good as me! Heh heh heh...

The criticism is fair enough. I should've posted the video description, which mainly says I made it to get opinions on how to improve it.

1. I'm trying to find an interesting Mario Palette. If anyone has an idea, PM me.
2. That will be done later. I didn't get around to it then because OW doesn't count in the contest.
3. As said before, OW does not count. It's meant to be bad.
4. I know the BG palette is bad. It will be changed.
5. I know, I'm going through the MAP16 pages and flipping stuff to use, and changing everything.
6. I'll add some more sprites.
7. I knew of that problem, it will be fixed straight away.

Nothing in the video was set in stone. As I said earlier, I only made the video to get opinions on what I could improve. it is a very early version of the level, which took me about half an hour to make.
Lemonade: Nice Levels, more, Try using the F1 image ZSNES for becoming more adjusted and to see better. outside it, all your good levels

A new screeie of the graphics used in my hack, (of which which i wont reveal much about):

Just look at the FG graphics, and the player graphics.

ALL Graphics were made by me. But the player was edited from this from a game called: "Romancing SaGa"
I tweaked the pallet a bit.

I was bored, so I decided to start making vanilla levels.

At the end of my Haunted Mansion themed castle, lies this part.

It is a hallway filled with traps (speed blocks and one-way blocks).
At the end is the Boo Boss, which takes 9 hits opposed to one (thank you Transhexlation and the ROM map ) .
Things are tentative for change, IE, the auto-scroll level, the amount of traps, the types of traps, palettes, the amount of throwblocks for the boss, etc.
