Is the lava glow exanimated? Anyway, I think the effect is good, but static lava glow would be odd.

@NoveNoveDuda: That looks good! My only complaint would be that the glow ends abruptly, instead of slowly dimming.

@TheDutchLuigi: That is better than the previous backround, but it could use some touch ups in the back (stars, maybe more trees?) Still, good work so far!

@GoldYoshiEgg: Nice graphics, but it looks way too hard for a first level (you should be able to beat it without dying). Maybe less munchers and an easier way to get across the last chasm would do better. Looks good other than that, though!

Nice overworld. I especially like that second one.
More random LevelASM, now with a custom level to go with it!

If I get enough ideas I might even shamelessly rip off take a leaf out of WhiteYoshiEgg's book and release a mini-hack based on LevelASM.

EDIT: Oh, and just after recording the video I decided to darken the bonus room palettes as much as possible, so as to (kind of) give a reasonable explanation to Mario suddenly not showing up.

@yoshicookiezeus: Looking good! I see you made jump height=dragon coins, that's very clever! And almost a death at the end, I was actually on the edge of my seat for that (as dumb as it sounds).

The "A Yoshi" in the status bar looks too out of place in comparison to the other font used in the status bar. Also, "TTEM". Looks fine other than that.

Maybe you could add some shading to the graphics so they aren't just simple straight-forward black lines. As for the first level name, it's spelled "mission", not "mision", unless that's intentional. ;)


It's intentional because it's in spanish, and yes, I took the idea from dr mario world, But the GFX are self-drawn. Also, I'm using plain GFX because I'm coign for a nes style, I meand, with (almost) no shadings

The font for "A YOSHI" is still out of place. If you're not going to change it, at least post that you're going to leave it the same.
Kinda like the MARIO in the original SMW had its own style, the same goes for A YOSHI in here.

...So yes, I'm leaving it the same.
