If I, or another staff member were to host a Tetris Attack netplay tournament on SMWC, how much interest would there be? Chances are it would be various VS. Matches set on different dates, with the winner moving on to the next tournament bracket. Of course, we'd have to set various guidelines, such as the skill level, easy/medium/hard, etc.
If you're interested in this, please let me know here. I won't start a tournament unless we get a good amount of people (at least 12 would be nice, to have a good, even number).
(note: if you haven't played this game, read about it here).
EDIT: We'll probably use Hamachi (get it here), and ZSNES 1.42.
We'd use the ZSNES 1.42 netplay feature to do it, most likely. Chances are that people who don't have the Hamachi program will have to get that (it seems to be the most feasible way to do this). After that, it's just a matter of connecting to the other user's IP, booting up the ROM, and playing.
...of course, if people don't want to do that, then they should probably let me know ASAP. I don't want to host it just to have people drop out and screw up the bracket. I'll explain more about how to get everything working if this goes through and we get enough sign-ups.
I've never played Tetris Attack before, so I'll have to find a ROM and learn how to play...
If you're played Pokemon Puzzle League for the N64, Tetris Attack is exactly like that.
Also, since it seems like there is a lot of interest, I'll think about starting up a thread later on this week. If anyone else is in agreement with this though, please post - the more competitors, the merrier.
