I guess I'll make a topic for this hack now. I've posted a few screens and videos in the hack topic 3.0 before, but because I have been working on this for a while, even though not constantly, I decided it's time for it's own topic. =P I have some videos and screens here for you. No demo JUST yet, though I'll be working my bottom off tonight and hopefully the rest of the week so World 1 should be complete within the next 1-3 weeks, which means Demo #1. =D

Green Island 1 - Old Build

Green Island 1 - Updated

Omg a star.

Omfg another star.

Zmog yet another star. Basically you can run through with a star chain. Though there will be multiple paths depending on if you have a star still or not. Which means there's a 50/50 chance of me creating a custom sprite/block, though I'd probably fail at that, and just use some logically placed munchers. =P

EDIT: Pictures moved to SMWC Filebin.

UPDATE: Hack is now completely vanilla, which means the title screen music is reset, I'm not using SMW Redrawn, and still no ExGFX present. It'd most likely going to stay vanilla, too. Also, The intro level is longer the very first level.
The hack looks pretty good to start with, but I've found a few problems:
1. You shouldn't use the first level for the title screen level.
2. The invisible coin block that leads you to the dragon coin is a little hard to find. You might want to put a coin under it or something.
3. The star at the end can give you 8 or possibly more 1-ups. I suggest that you take it out or lower the amount of enemies in the area (or both).

1. I got lazy, but I will be changing the intro.

2. There is a coin under it. :X

3. Okay. This will be the final change to the level I guess. =P

What's wrong with that? Just asking. I don't see anything wrong with it.

Back on topic, the other two thing grishnax said is all you need to fix. Other than that, maybe a little polish here and there, and you've got a good level there.

Oh, and the overworld isn't finished yet, right?

I suck at overworlds. That's it. XD I'd like someone to make the overworld for me based around my current one, though no-one's gonna help a poor untalented haxxer. :X
I would gladly assist in your overworld troubles.
You only need to give me credit to the overworld.

If you need to see any of my work...
..see Origin Metroid Saga or Dissidia no Densetsu.

This is the overworld I made for Dissidia no Densetsu.

Is it just me, or are neither of those hacks uploaded here? =\

Origin Metroid Saga
Dissidia no Densetsu

Those are the links to their appropriate official thread.
I'm not uploading them until after C3 has finished.
However, OMS is very popular and is bound to be one of the best!
Also, I posted the overworld of Dissidia no Densetsu in my last post.

Haha I feel stupid now, I checked the forum threads already. :V

Those overworlds are very brilliant, especially Dissidia. Thanks for offering. I'll talk to you on MSN or something about it, do you have MSN or something similar?
Well, the overworld is nice.

Look at this 8 year-old layout that I should probably update.
No, but I do have several other accounts to manage.

I wouldn't use the star at the end, since you can get alot of lives.
I'd also rename it to something unique, but you don't have to.
It looks good so far.

Something crossed my mind reading your post. When the hack is at state where all levels are mostly completed, I will try rearranging some levels on the maps to make a better difficulty rise, though I can't put any level just anywhere because all the levels have certain themes to it, so obviously some levels wouldn't fit on certain maps.

Thanks for the comment, too.
Well, well. Been quite a while and no demo. I really don't know how to keep motivation for anything, but I'm still working on getting the first world done. Don't expect an estimated release of this demo from me, I don't even have a rough idea of when it'll be released. =P But I assure you I'm working on it. And a little update:

:Intro movie changed to a different level:
:Original SMW Graphics used:
:Title music reverted:

So it is basically a vanilla hack at this point now, and will probably not change.

Triple post, but it's an update. Two screens of the second level.

Short underground section. The block contains a Blue P-switch that you bring back up, but what for? :O

Land section. I'm horrible at taking pictures so I didn't get the bullet bill flying by. And I'm lazy so I didn't bother trying to take it again. =P
are those levels constantly flat? If so, you need to fix that. Anyways, if you don't know how to take pictures, this is how:

1.Open your romhack onto Zsnes
2. go to a spot you want to take a picture of
3. press F1
4. go to the bottom and change the .bmp to .PNG
5. go to the top and select take snapshot
Then just go to a photo sharing site, upload it there, then get the IMG code of the image and paste it here.

Hope this helps you.

I didn't say I didn't know how. I meant that I have very bad timing to push the key I use to take pics on ZSNES. XD

And I admit the levels are flast in many areas, I just didn't manage to get the variating area. A video will fix fix that when the level is complete.

XD wow I can't believe I told you how to even though you posted pics right there.....just wow X3
My bad *sigh*...anyways, ok, and make sure to not make the levels all flat, that makes a hack boring as...er....poop. >.>
meh
New screens. =D Once again, of the second level.

Some non-flat land, which I actually managed to capture this time. =P I have much less flat land than you think in the levels I am creating so far, just the first couple levels may be relatively flat.

Some bullet bills charging at you. Might be difficult to dodge, but I am aiming for this to be a harder-than-the-original hack. And by the way, this hill and the hill in the first image are completely unrelated. =P
The sides of those hills look weird.
