Golden Yoshi: First SMW Garbage Hack Author

There seems to be a wave of confusion here regarding who made the first garbage SMW hack. It's about time that I clear up any confusion, and inform you that I, Golden Yoshi, was the first person to ever release a garbage SMW hack.

In 2003, I released a garbage SMW hack, which I entitled SMW Minus: Utter Garbage on Acmlm's Board's first incarnation.

Original Hack Thread

I released the hack as a joke to make fun of newb SMW hackers. However, it turned out to be a bit successful, as people appreciated the humor of it.

Along the way, a few people decided to copy my idea and create their own levels. One of those people included FPI, whose hack, Chaos Complexx, is the one most of you remember.

The reason I am bringing this subject up even though these hacks were created long ago, is because I always see Chaos Complexx mentioned as the centerpiece joke SMW hack, and mine never is mentioned. No disrespect to FPI, but I deserve a bit more credit than he does for coming up with the idea in the first place, while he simply copied my idea. I do realize these were both intentional garbage hacks, but if there was something positive associated with them that many people refer back to, I'd also like to be associated with it. ^_^

Also, I don't doubt in the least someone came up with an idea for an intentional garbage SMW hack before me, but I was the first to act on it.

So yeah, just to reiterate the key points of this thread:

-Golden Yoshi released the first intentional garbage SMW hack ever.
-FPI copied my idea for his hack, Chaos Complexx.

Why make an entire thread about this?

1. One, I'm an extremely petty person
2. I just want to get it off my chest
3. I am just awesome

So, yes, please allow me to now bask in all my glory.

Six years has come and past. Must be pretty nostalgic looking back at those ancient posts - I know it is for me, although I only remember about 70% of the people who posted in the original hack thread.

(In more related news, GoYo has continued his wonderful garbage hack making spree by giving us this terrible piece of trash.)

Well If you think about it, all noob hacks back then -- I wasn't there -- but I can conclude that all the hacks they made were garbage anyways ^.^ BUT, according to your information (which I guess I'll trust) you were the first person to INTENTIONALLY make a horrible hack. Anyways, I think that if you claim you made the first SMW garbage hack, I'll believe you. I would like to get a confirming post by FPI, though.

Edit: do you think that you could re-release it here? Not submit it, but at least give us a working link. I would love to play the original SMW garbage hack!

Go to the Chaos Complexx page, and notice at the bottom he wrote:

"A very special thanks goes to Golden Yoshi 2000, for his great idea to make a garbage hack!"

Meaning, I thought of the idea first and he copied me.

And if you read through that old thread, he shows his interest in making his own garbage levels.

Trust me, he copied from me, end of story.
