A thread for my romhack, Super Luigi and The Quest For The Seven Golden Eggs. Basicly, the romhack is centered around Luigi going around the Dinosaur Archipelago to find the stolen "Golden Yoshi Eggs", as the hatching time is soon, and only comes around every 100 years. Who ever has the eggs at the time of the hatching, will gain the power of the eggs, so Luigi goes to get them back from Bowser, who has also kidnapped Princess Peach (Again).

Though there is occansional slowdown, that is because ZSNES & Camtasia Studio don't like each other.

Also, on all of the pics, the stutus bar is messed up. That will be fixed.

Also, I'm pretty sure A Yoshi's hack has the subtitle "The Quest for the 7 Golden Eggs". I would change it just to be safe.
No, it's "Seven fruits of gold". I think mine if different enough. I had never heard of his romhack beforehand, so, I think I'm alright.

Also, I've noticed that in the Switch Place, and hopefully I'll getaround to fixing it soon.

You started using my Luigi gfx but then you went to the SMA2 SMW Luigi GFX. The level looks good, keep it up.
Hmm... I forget. But thanks for the compliment! More stuff will come in the next few days (Probably Sunday)

EDIT: Now I remember! I was using the GFX from smallhacker's separate luigi gfx patch, which is what was used in the video, the went to your gfx. That's what I'm using now.

In the video the P switch Luigi is carrying turns invisible for a lil while...did you make that happen purposely?

Something that caught my eye.Looked like a glitch.But I like the stage though.I'll keep a eye out for this.

As mention in the video discription on youtube, that was a problem with the sprite memory settings. That has been fixed.

C'mon, please would people comment? I feel like my hack is being intentionaly ignored.

I sat through like a minute of it but after a while I got annoyed for some reason so I started skimming through it. It appears that your ghost house has a lot of lag in it, which is mainly why I got annoyed. Maybe try getting rid of some of those boo's in the beginning. There was an awful lot of them. I also personally don't like the music. Its pretty boring and slow. Its good overall I guess it just has a lot of lag problems. That's all I have to say. I guess. Oh and as for your previous castle post, that actually looks nice, but maybe you should raise the spiked roof a bit in screens 3, 4, 6 and 7. It looks like you have to force a very small spin jump, and those usually suck. I also personally thought your message boxes were not funny. Just my opinion though. Okay now I'm done. WAIT! Your first video, the castle one, also has quite some lag. And a lot of glitchy sprite memory issues, like the P switch going invisible and the twomps pieces going invisible. Might want to look into that. Also your first 3 screens look real nice. I like the graphics and backgrounds. Good hack overall but has quite a few problems. Nothing that can't be fixed though. Okay now for sure I'm done.

The reason for the lag is that ZSNES & Camtasia Studio don't work well on my computer.The level(s) work fine on there own, it's just when I'm recording. I ws thinking of changing the music, but not right now.

Nope, you don't have to pull a spin jump. Look again. In 3 & 4, there is an area between the wall with spikes and the candle holder thing. You trick the punch into coming at you, then you jump over him and run. You do something similar in screen 6 & 7.

I really liked the ghost house, but in the beginning, if you don't take that path upwards where do you go? Another Exit?

And you should raise the roof, jumps can go many different heights. Just to be safe. But you don't have to. But it would be nice.
It leads to a door, which leads back to the begining of the level.

Also, raise the roof where? The roof with the spikes in the castle pictures? I already explained how you aren't in any real danger.

Maybe I should make a video just of that section explaining how you are safe.

On another note, what is the stuff on the first line of you post from? The music in the ghost house?

Yeah, back to the discusion of my romhack. Anyway, I made a video for you and internoob and others who didn't understand how to get past the Punch. But you notice around 0:33 where you messed up in going past the first fire stick thingy, and the punch came back so you had to run all the way back to the left to wait for it again? Thats a slow hassle. Why not just simply raise the roof one or two tiles high? Especially in pics #6 and #7, those look a lot more annoying and hard. I'm simply saying, its your hack do what you want. I just think raising the roof a little bit would be easier and better.
