Firstly, sorry about the horrible thread name, I can't think of anything.

Some of you already know by now, that I've been working on a special hack for C3. I started earlier this month/late April though, so I was only able to complete 16 levels... but, they aren't any garbage levels or anything, they contain some ExGFX, HDMA and a few custom blocks. I tried to make the level design as good as possible, and there's some c00l stuff too - when you duck when you're caped Mario, you turn into a shell!

This is a ASM hack which gives Big Mario (And fire/caped as well) the abilility to do some ground pound moves, when you jump in air and press A/B. You can kill enemies if they're close to your stomp range and I've also included a block that only shatters when you stomp on it. Thanks to HyperHacker for helping me with some of the code.

Another thing which I have been working on for a while. I tried to make this health bar as similar to SM64 as possible.. it features:

-Custom damage from any sprite (normal AND custom!)
-Different colored health bar depending on your health!
-5 coins heal one segment, but that's configurable.
-Mushroom can heal 2 segments (by default).
-Mario loses a segment of health if he's in water for too long (4.2 seconds is for one segment).
-Included SM64 lava block. Also, the muncher block could be messed up, so I included a custom muncher block (can take away configurable HP)
-Midway bar heals one segment.

I tested this a lot but haven't gotten into any more bugs, but if there are any, you can report them to me.

This is a custom sprite which I used in my overworld for the Overworld Design Contest. It lets you change the music on the main OW when you are at a specific point.

I've also made a new Red Coins patch. This is very similar to pieguy's one, but I might as well release it here anyway..

I also made a block that only lets you pass when you have a certain amount of red coins, you can download that here.

I also made some custom powerups, which are:
-Ice boots (walk on iced blocks)
-Quicksand boots (walk on quicksand)
-Bomb Powerup (let's you throw bombs)
-Wario Dash
-Laser Powerup (this one sorta sucks though, he just shoots them)
-Power Mario (he can break some bricks).
-Air Powerup (he can stay in air for more timer, if you are using mikeyk's air meter though).

(Sorry for the lack of pics here, but you should know what they do anyway). You have to use the generators for the sprites remember, there are 2 of them because for some reason the code shouldn't all fit into one asm file, sorry but I might fix this some other time)

Yeah.. this is the custom timer sprite which I made ages ago, but I never used it, so I thought I could release it here. There is one that decrements, and one that increments from zero.

If someone of you don't want to use that sprite, I also made a sprite which teleports you when the SMW Timer reaches 0 here, and a sprite which warps you to the overwold when the SMW Timer reaches 0, here.

Also, I made theses, so I might as well release them too:
32x32 Yoshi Coin Sprite
ICB's hammer/boomerang generator turned into a patch. (Right click -> Save as)

Umm...

The SFOG link isn't working. Do you think that you could maybe upload a copy to the file bin instead?
as soon as i patch the hammer and boomerang asm patch,the screen when i start my game is just black.what is this?
What? It works fine here, did you put freespace?
Also, SFOG works when you wait till it reaches 960kb, but here is a link to the one in the file bin anyway:

As grishnax said, the download link isn't working. Please fix this!

Everything you have is defintely amazing. The music overworld change thing looks brilliant, and the SM64 health bar blew me away.

If you want the demo which is still being fixed, then just right click, save link location as, and then click on all files. it should save it as an ips file now that it's not a text document. I couldn;t test this out because I'm using my Wii right now- my sister's on the computer...

I like some sprites, maybe I'll use some of these in the future. Also, the "Overworld Music Change Sprite" is a great idea.

These look really great Iceguy! You seem to be very good with ASM. Keep up the good work! ;) By the way, I was just wondering where you got the idea for the Overworld music change generator/sprite. I did something very similar to that in the Overworld design contest as well.
Well yeah, I kinda got the idea from your sprite. I hope you don't mind or anything.

Wow. At the risk of sounding clichéd, that stuff looks very cool. I just downloaded a couple of those things. (I just hope the timer sprites will work with PWoC's altered status bar, though...) I just have one thig to point out: didn't Schwa already make some of those hacks? The SM64 health meter and the ice boots powerup are the ones I'm thinking of.

Edit: Oh, and also, I don't see the bomb or laser powerups in the download pack.
Okay, I know nothing about ASM,
But i think you could do better with the ground pound thing.
For starters, by just watching the video, I could see that the smoke is a little bit off from where mario's impact is, two, Could you make it so that mario does not flash palletes before stomping?

One last thing, could you make it Luigi-Only for a hack i am doing?

imamelia: Thank you for notifying me about that. I uploaded an outdated version of the powerups somehow, but now they should be included.

Also, I don't think Schwa every released his SM64 Meter (He only gave it to Geno), so I decided to make my own which anyone can use ;) And for the Ice Boots, well, I didn't know :(

Ddoomm10: It might be a bit hard to fix the smoke issue, but I'll try my best. Also, you can remove the palette flash by removing these two lines:

LDA #$20
STA $149B ;\ Set palette change...

(It should have been kinda obvious since I commented on it).
Also, sure I could do it for your Luigi-Only hack.. but it uses the current player, so I don't think it'll matter if Mario isn't in the hack anyway, or am I misunderstand you?

Very nice work with all of these things. I remembered seeing some ground pound hacks about a year ago, and I was really covetous of having that for my hack, and now here it is. Awesome. I can't wait to try these out.

If I moderated your hack, there was apparently a 90 percent chance it was rejected.

Your layout has been removed.
found a glitch for the sm64 health.
you cannot COMPLETELY fill your health using just coins, it misses the last segment.
Hmm.. looks like I put CMP #$07 instead of CMP #$08. Re-download and apply the patch. It should be fixed.
