Thanks a lot for all your help! Now I know exactly what to do.



Hi, before the whole big wipeout of SMW I asked about FG and I got how to do it. I did the same thing for another level, but when I inserted the ExGFX files, the graphics glitch. I don't know what I did wrong:

I copied and pasted the FG tiles from the actual level onto a blank .bin file. I modified the tiles I didn't think I would use:

It's in the yellow circles

In LM, I click on the insert Exgfx and then Red Poison Shroom and switch to the ExGFX file and this happens:

Making my own FG/BG takes a lot longer than I thought.

wait so u just inserted the gfx? If you did you have to arrange them to look right. You cant just insert them and expect them to look right if you have no Map16 pages.

I had this same problem when I started. When I get home, I will recreate what I did so I can give you directions on how to fix this.

[?] Miscellaneous Helpful Hints
If I moderated your hack, there was apparently a 90 percent chance it was rejected.
It looks like you altered the location of some key tiles. Note that the game has set locations to read tile information from in every single GFX set. If you change these locations, your GFX will appear garbled unless you add them in a different location, via map16.
Not advance at all... and it's just a simple error you made. Everything was right, but you pasted the ExGFX in the wrong postion, you have to copy from the tiles below the X tile, and some animation look-a-likes and stop where the small pipes are. And if you're using those tiles at the very top, then replace the arches, I see you're not using them in your level.
