Tip: If you're patching a BPS/IPS file to a ROM, make sure that your ROM is clean (unmodified) before you patch it. If it's not clean, use ROMclean to fix it.

The Think-Outside-The-Box Game

This is a game where there are questions made up by me that you have to use your mind to think-outside-the box. Most of these questions are just technology questions, or questions just involving tasks where you have to experiment with. And since I made these questions up, googling will not get you anywhere. The best part is that this isn't another pointless game. You actually have to think in your posts and not be able to increase your post count!!

RULES

1. Don't make one-word/pointless posts. Actually put some effort in your posts, and please don't spam, or I will request a ban from a mod.
2. Each question counts as 100 points. Get it wrong, you won't lose any points IF it is a regular round.
3. There are different kinds of rounds played:

GAMBLING ROUND
You bet how many points you want to gain from that round, meaning if you get it wrong, you lose that many points you gambled, and if you get it right, you gain that many points. You can only bet from 1 - 200 points. If you get it right or wrong, I'll PM you telling you if you got it right or wrong. After 48 hours, or if everyone wants to end the round, we move on to the next question.

MULTI-QUESTION ROUND
Title answers it all. Maximum of 3 guesses at a time.

1-FOR-1
If you get the question wrong, you lose 100 points. If you get it right, you get 100 points.

MULTI-PART QUESTION ROUND
There is more than one answer to answer the question. Both parts are worth 100 points each.

*I may at times combine any of these rounds with another.

4. Please, no excesive posting, meaning after getting the reply of your answer wrong, don't just keep guessing. Let other people have a chance at winning.
5. After 3 wrong guesses, a hint is given. Everytime a hint is given, the round is worth 25 points less. Mazimum of 3 hints.
6. After 48-hours of guessing, or a total of 10 wrong guesses, no points will be given, and we move on to the next round.
7. Trying to find a loophole results in posts ignored.
8. GOOGLE ISN'T YOUR FRIEND.
9. First player to 2000 points wins.

Lightvayne, hopefully it's not another pointless game.

Now that the rules are covered, it is time to start the game!

ROUND: 1
MULTI-PART QUESTION: How do you open a PM with no place to click and open it (no title)?

GO!
PostID in the URL, or the latest post link.

This is a thing that's happening, now. Achievements in old video games.
Thank you for the layout, Erik557.
Man, I wish this would've worked. Oh well.
If not for respect, but dramatic effect, take on the face of Guy Fawkes.
Go to someone's profile, and view their most recent posts.

I'll give Giga the points even though I meant PM. Carry on with the round (meaning view the question at the top).
PMs have IDs like posts, so you can put the ID in the address bar.

Also, I don't think it is possible to have no subject in a PM anyway, so there has to be something to click, maybe one of those non-breaking spaces...

But my answer is the first sentence.

May we meet again outside the battlefield.
Log on to the account that PMd you and check their sent mail box. I may know the password of my most frequent PMer.
Maybe I should have put it as a category of a two-part answer. But anyways, Forty2, you got one part right. I am sorry Werewolf but you have to be realistic. I don't think if Smallhacker sent you a PM, you wouldn't know his password.

HINT1: hold down this until you get to that.
Back/Forward button.
Hi! I'm dead!

@Zadrave - I don't think you understood right. You are trying to open a PM that you can't click with your mouse. Back/Forward button does nothing.
Hold the tab button and press enter when the PM is highlighted.
Correct!

ROUND:2
QUESTION: How do open a new tab without clicking it? And you only need to press one button. It is a special kind of this. (Try to reply without opening a new tab by...and keeping this window open)
hmmm. usually you can open things by pressing control then the word.
like ctrl + q, ctrl + s. so to open a tab you press control t?

If you mean without clicking on the tab itself, I usually use middle-click on a link to open a new tab.
Correct Ramon! I'm sorry Blue, but you had to do two actions for that, hold control and press ___.

ROUND: 3
QUESTION: How are you going to get this file onto your computer? You can't use google. All you can use are the words in this post. And add words of your own if you want. What I want you do accomplish is to save that file to your computer without going to this website.

Use this post with thought...

Look at this 8 year-old layout that I should probably update.
"save that file to your computer without going to this website."

By saving that website by putting it onto a word document, and putting it into an external storage, then putting it onto a computer that isn't mine.

That way, I got the file on another person's computer, not my own, by going onto the link. Then, I take the downloaded product, and get it back onto my computer. I have saved the file to another computer and going to the website, something that was never restricted.

EDIT: Really, all that's needed to be done is to go on another computer that isn't mine and download the product, and then e-mail it to my computer; no external storage is needed.

Other Submissions of mine!
Turn it into a link. like this. Then right click on the link, and click "save target as", and save it. Poof, there's your midi.

Without going onto a different computer.

Correct Captain Falcon. =D=, what? Once again, be realistic. And how are you going to save the file on your computer? Basically you just said to save it, and e-mail it to yourself, which made no sense. And also, just got FALCON PUNCHED. XD

ROUND: 4
1-FOR-1 QUESTION: I want to steal one of the .gif avatars from a user. How will I do that, without contacting the user?

--------------------
Look at this 8 year-old layout that I should probably update.
You want the avatar of another user? I might have the question wrong but if I wanted, say, your dancing yoshi avatar, I right click on it, select properties, and then highlight the stuff that's in the Address (URL) box. Then put this into a (img} tag for an image. BTW, this works on all types of images, not just .gifs

Some people might do it a different way, but this is how I do it.

--------------------
Your layout has been removed.
Right Click the .gif you want to steal.

Then you can either click the "View Image" button, and copy the link into your profile and replace that link with the one that was in the Avatar box before.

Or you can right click it and click "Save Image As" to save to to where you want.
Well, I was just giving you a scenario. I didn't really want another avatar. And you did get it right first Falcon.

ROUND: 5
QUESTION: (Ugh, my imagination is wearing down) When posting a replay, how do you give someone to download a hack without giving them the link to showing the hack? (For example, download SDW: TLC without going to show them the download button, reviews, etc.)
