Hey everyone, I just registered today.
I just started doing this stuff like two months ago.
I love doing level edits but can't do an overworld at all.
Anyway, hope to maybe do some hacks with other people who are starting as well.
no one notices anything i do..........UNTIL I DON'T DO IT!
Alright folks. I'm posting here because I just came back from lurking for a LONG time, and the people in IRC convinced me to.

I used to hack SMW a little bit, but I couldn't design levels for the life of me, so I quit.

I still play around with Palettes, Graphics, and Music a little though.

I am also an artist, I love to draw, and can handle Photoshop pretty well... Even do a little vectoring in flash.

I play video games a lot, and am an avid Sonic fan, although, I do LOVE them Mario games, for they got me started on gaming, and well, I have more of them.

I live in Calgary, Alberta. That's in Canada if you didn't know. :x

And yeah, that's about it.
oh lo there. I;m Observer, as my name implies, I just lurk and such, and attempt to get better at SMW hacking. I spend a lot of my time making Youtube poops, and as of now, I am teetering on the edge of 100 subscribers.

The Blocktool tutorial in the Tools section or the tutorial in n00b SMW hacking should help you.
Also, welcome to the central.

I just registered. I've been playing smw hacks for over a year but just recently started to try to make my own, so I figured I'd register. Great to be part of the community. :)

I decided to come back here, anything big change?
I see there are a few retards still here with the youtube crap and spam.

Welcome back, Xiaos!

Hello, my name is Danny.

Ever since I was young, Super Mario World had always been one of my favorite video games. When I first started the game, I was really bad at it. I once had 50 game overs and still could not beat Yoshi's Island 1 or 2! However, as I practiced, I became more and more skilled at it. After a few months, I was eventually able to complete the entire game. (The level "Tubular" was pretty annoying, and I had a lot of trouble trying to complete it. It was the only time in my life when a video game had made me cry.)

When I was in sixth grade, I met several people who loved Mario games. One of my teachers, Eliza, loved Super Mario World, and I guided her through most of the game! My friend Fred (this is not his real name, since "Fred" is paranoid about his real name posted online) really liked the game as well, so I also guided him through the entire game. After some time, he was just as good as me!

When I was young, I always thought to myself, "Wouldn't it be nice if there was a level editor for Super Mario World?" Well, my dream came true. In 2004, I discovered this wonderful program called Lunar Magic. I've played through some fan-made levels, and they were so fun. I'm still a n00b at ROM hacking, but I hope to become a 1337 h4x0r in the future. :)

Anyways, I've been checking out this site for some time, and I've finally decided to register. I hope that this will be a great learning experience!

Danny
Hello, my name is Derek.

Though I haven't Registered until now.
I have been using this site to gain useful knowledge of SMW hacking!
I made this account so I can get more involved.

Now for a little bit about me! I love games, computers and challenges!
Thus another reason for my love of smw hacking! And ironic enough, like a lot of people in 2000, wondered how nice it would be to make my very own Super Mario World! I EVEN made blue prints of levels along time ago, hehe. *Of coarse those plans fail now :P* So it would be fate, that a great man like, FuSoYa would make an editor for SMW! But for the last few years things were hard. Work kept me busy, until one day!

I found a job that pays well and now have some much needed time to start my new hobby.
With all that said, I hope you all will enjoy my stay, as I know I will. Sorry for that long intro, but I also want to point out, so far, I learned how to put in custom music, doing custom sprites next after doing some block installing.

If you want to know more about my hack, go to my YT channel, Superderek1

Hello all, I registered yesterday but forgot to introduce myself >_>

Anyway.......I don't really know how to introduce myself properly actually....anyway, felt like posting.
Hello. Known about this place a while, don't know why I suddenly had the urge to join today. I used to ROM hack a long time ago, back when Acmlm's was good and... a full community. My username there was "Mighty Kefka" or "Kefka" (creative, I know), so maybe a few people here might remember me by an off-chance. I know I frequently talked to Kyouji Craw and Dinner Sonic at one time; not sure if they're here anymore or even made the jump to this community. I also used to talk to smallhacker once in a while... well, you know about him. :P Yea, I haven't talked to any Acmlmers (Acmlmites?) in ages... geez.

[EDIT: OH! and MON is here! MathOnNapkins, yes, I've made fun of where you live too much... so yea anyone from #rom-hacking there's a chance I know, too]

Anyway, I never was in the SMW scene. I threw my hand in FF for a bit, then went to Kirby's Adventure for a bit, then just started randomly dealing with bbitmaster on some stuff. It's been forever. I haven't hacked in years. But I still play hacks a lot, so I figured no harm could be done in joining here even though I don't even do SMW projects.

I make gaming videos... for the internet! *gasp* Sometimes these include ROM hacks. In fact, some of my older, suckier videos are "reviews" (if you want to call them that) of ROM hacks, and I think I even did a SMW hack review that sucked major ass (the review, not necessarily the hack), but it's my most viewed video. I guess someone linked it somewhere. Go figure. So I'll be around here, I'll maybe make videos about some hacks I play from time to time, who knows...

That intro post was way too long. Anyway, in case you ever care to see the videos, here:
My YouTube channel page thing

I probably won't post all that often. But I'll definitely check what's going on here every couple days at least and maybe see if I can find anyone I remember from the old Acmlm board. Thanks to anyone who read that huge post!

Hey romscout. I recognised your name when you registered, as the guy who reviewed (it was a good review by the way) my hack SMBDX on YouTube. I was peter_ac on Acmlm's if you can remember me.

Glad to see you've signed up here anyway :)

Yea, I remember you. And thanks for the compliments on the review, although anything I'd make now would be at least 10 times better in quality. I'm still curious about where it was linked.

Yea and who knows, I just might some time during the summer pick up Lunar Magic or EggVine, although I'm probably not going back into the hardcore stuff again unless I really feel like I have too much time to dedicate to my old hobby. :P
Hey all! Name's Cyrus and I just like to say Hi to everyone! Here's a short intro 'bout me:
I live in England, I've been video gaming for about 15 years, nowadays I play on my NDS, Wii and PC emulators... I'm thinking about getting a 360 soon.

See ya ^^
