E3 2009 - Gaming - SMW Central

E3 is just a few more days away! E3 will be begin on June 2nd and end on June 4th at the L.A. Convention Center.

Hopefully, Nintendo will do better this year. They'll probably show games we've already knew about, like Wii Sports Resort, Mario and Luigi 3 and the Metroid Prime Trilogy. And hopefully, something for their fans...

I also want to see that new project Kojima is working on. OMG METAL GEAR!

Anything you would like to see on E3?

Nintendo obviously will fail again this year. Although I'm hoping for some news on The Conduit and The Grinder (A new game announced by HV)

Hopefully Nintendo won't fail this year and bring out a new Starfox and F-Zero title.

Yeah, a new F-Zero game would rule.

Nintendo has done nothing right for a LONG time, the only thing they have released that was good was the new Punchout game. Odds are they will release something like "Mario Football" or something along those lines.

Nintendo needs to release a new F-Zero and some details on the new Wii Zelda game. And maybe a StarFox game where you are always in the cockpit.

Does anybody remember the 3D Green Hill Zone remake in Sonic Adventure 2? Sonic Team needs to create a full 3D remake of the whole original game. I would give anything for that!

Any of you heard about Kingdom Hearts: Coded? We need a port of that for some handheld system!

Supposedly, Nintendo's has a lot more up their sleeve for E3 this year. Here's hoping it won't be a bust like last time.

A new F-Zero or Star Fox installment would be awesome, but I would also be interested in some brand-new first party series for the Wii. Other than Wii ____ (which really doesn't count) Nintendo has added not one new series, instead sticking with Mario and Zelda mainly. The Gamecube added Pikmin and Animal Crossing, so why can't we get some brand new game this time around?

Hah, I did the same thing on IRC too, asking when C3 was. Of course, the answer was about 5 1/2 months.

Anyway, didn't realize it was this close. I'm really glad they've switched to the more open style unlike 2007, which ended up being pretty lame.

E3 is only one day away now. Lets hope for some decent games this year.

Seconded on that, mostly because of how great Drake's Fortune was.

As for my general thoughts on E3 .. I don't really follow it much (read: ever), but since I've been hearing a ton of stuff about how this year is supposed to be *the* year, I'll probably check it out.

I heard that Nintendo is working on Super Mario Galaxy II. I could be wrong though.

No, it's true.

I didn't catch much of the conference, since I was at college until after 1 pm EST, but here's the gist of what I heard:

NSMB for Wii with 4-player co-op announced
M&L3 set for fall, NA name is Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story
Super Mario Galaxy 2 announced, with YOSHI YOU CAN RIDE ON. And also inflate like a balloon. Lolwut.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong 3, set to come out on DSiWare next Monday. (O_O MUST GET. Especially since this Saturday is my birthday!)
Metroid: Other M announced
Golden Sun DS announced

Can't remember anything else. Still, I was 100% satisfied. All four Mario games they announced? I WANT THEM. I WANT THEM SO BAD. Of course, even if I didn't, I'm 100% satisfied, for I found out exactly what I wanted: M&L3's localized name, and when it's coming out.
