I already asked this in a thread, but nobody gave me what I needed to know, and then the thread died, rejected, unable to fulfill it's duty...

Anyways, I need to know how to rip FG from games other than super mario world. I saw the video, and it didn't work. Is there a simple way, or do I have to recreate it by hand?

Edit: Somebody should make a tutorial about ripping ExGFX.

I forced Pac to make one for you. ;)

I'm looking for the reloc offsets for the following blocks that come with Block Tool v2.0:

Right Boost Block With Sound
Left Boost Block With Sound
Jump Block With Sound
Fall Block With Sound
Random Boost Block With Sound

I'm asking this because Block Tool won't open at all for me, so I can't read the reloc offsets for any of the blocks that come with Block Tool. (Because Block Tool isn't working at all for me anymore, I'm trying to port all these blocks to Block Tool Super Deluxe, and all I need now are the reloc offsets for each of these blocks.) :(

Nevermind. I got Block Tool to work again, but the thing is that I don't know how exactly I got it working again. Anyways, I've moved all of the blocks from Block Tool to Block Tool Super Deluxe.

I'm currently taking an indefinitely long break from ROM hacking to play World of Warcraft again. Anyone may check out my user bio for more information on what I'm planning for Rainbow Legends: S********'s Adventure.
Well, I got help with my title screen problem (thanks, WhiteYoshiEgg), but I still need to solve another music related problem; how do I change what music plays during a Koopaling/Reznor boss battle, because LM does squat! Does it involve hex editing?
Can't you just change it through the bypass music and time settings?

Is it okay to replace map16 BG pages if we aren't going to use the original SMW BG graphics?
How do you program blocks?
I wonder, because i've got a kind of epic idea.

Making custom blocks requires ASM, a good basic tutorial is stickied in Advenced SMW Hacking.
Save the ASM code as a .txt file, drag it over trasm.exe (found in the Sprite Tool folder) and it will create a .bin file, which you can insert with Blocktool or BTSD.

Meh, i don't feel like learning ASM. But thanks anyway.

Just out of interest, can you have more than one custom pallet in a level?

Edit: The breakable brick GFX just make my blocks disappear when I use them.

Edit2: I just inserted the custom grassland by Bacteriophage, and the ExAnimations didn't seem to work. I wonder if this has anything to do with the breakable brick problem...

No, that doesn't work, at least not for me. It has to be something else.
Two quick questions:

1. In what GFX file are the graphics for the muncher animation located?

2. Is it possible to ExAnimate sprite tiles?

1.) GFX33.bin
2.) Yes, just input the value from the sprite tile you can find in the 8x8 editor.

1. They're located inside GFX33.bin (just like all the other animations)

2. As far as I know, you can't. But again I'm not sure.

EDIT: Beaten...

Thanks, both of you. Now I should be able to change the Big Boo Boss into a giant floating muncher of death for my Mad Muncher Mansion level. (And no, I don't approve the use of floating munchers normally, but I thought having one as a boss might count as an exception.)
